well with little fanfare my battle with hep C is on. i just took my first dose of riba and will take my shot of
Pegasys at 10 am in my Dr's office. 48 weeks of dragon killing ahead!

Good luck as you begin.  Since you'll have their attetion this am, try to work out the schedule for pcr's and labwork.  Maybe you can walk out of there with perscriptions for 4, 8 and 12 week pcrs and corresponding scheduling for cbc's and liver tests too.  Have fun today.

Excellent advice from FLGuy. Make sure he will do at LEAST a 4 week and 12 week PCR for you! the more information you have the better so try to get him to line up even more but those should be at a MINIMUM.

Also remember to have "the talk" that is so important to all of us. Make sure he will prescribe rescue drugs BEFORE you might run into trouble.

well i must say, my first day of tx was pretty ez and the shot was anticlimactic. the only thing that happened was i didn't sleep very good, i kept waking up. also, about 5 hrs after taking the shot i had very minor body aches and a headache. but it was really not bad.tylenol took care of that. this morning i feel fine. if this is the way it's going to be it's a piece of cake. that's a big if, though.
