omg Im laughing to hard.
Glad I dont have a sister and if hubby calls me by one of my brothers names NO way is holding for any seconds!!!!
Throw Sex- Calling your wife using her sister’s name and trying to hold for 8 seconds.
sex...someones talking about sex in here?? Must be in the wrong forum...but talk amonst yourselves I'm all veclempt.
there is such a thing as a false positive. You should get tested again to rule out lab error before letting panic set in.

ps a guy bouncing around from chick to chick cannot always be believed as to the "only one other" line. If you get another test positive for antibodies and RNA...then get him tested....
if he has the same genotype as you...and you KNOW you haven't been elsewhwere, then that's where you got it.
sorry to hear your troubles, forgive us for the sex jokes, but it's ususally not very snappy in here so we tend to jump at the mention of someone getting any!! : )

I wish somebody would throw some sex my way :(
Come to think of it, the bed I'm building may make throw sex somewhat dangerous.

No, I think it's "throw sex" but don't believe it's for married people.
sounds strenuous, possibly painful too
I'm getting too old for throw sex anyway. ;)
Oh geez, I'm disappointed. I thought I might get a refresher course. LOL
first off, what the heck is throw sex???
I would be interested in knowing that too. Always good to keep up with the lastest techniques.
Are you sure that they tested for Hep C specifically. My ob/gyn told me that C is not routinely tested for when you are pregnant, but Hep B is.
I could be wrong but ya might want to double check.
first off, what the heck is throw sex???
anyway, hcv transmission thru sex is highly unlikely (imo) unless rough (throw?) sex where there is blood exchanged....
but, I think there is a slight chance it could happen if both parties involved had a sore down under.
just my take.
and ps - I regret answering yes to the iv drug question... just say no, or its none of your business, if thats the case. Cause the fact is , you really do not know where this came from. could have been a blood draw with improper use of equipment, etc. I saw and caught a lot of screw ups when I treated. Watch everything, question everything, post questions and let forum people know even the smallest details if you tx. They can help you.

It’s very unlikely that you contracted this via intercourse; HCV isn’t considered a classic STD. There are always exceptions to any rule; when HCV *is* transmitted through sex, it’s usually rough sex that involves trauma, or possibly anal sex where tissue tearing is more likely.
There seems to be a group of patients that just can’t explain where it came from; they don’t have any known risk factors, but still get the disease from something. Who knows? The important thing now is to manage the disease; have you considered treatment yet? Are you watching for disease progression with your doctor?
Good luck to you-
Bill
