tounge problem

does the so called geographic tounge come with other mouth problems like maybe a mouth sore somewhere inside the mouth
i feel numbness in the tip of my tounge where a ring appears it makes me panic so i get panic attacks when i am upset i get these
rings also i've never been told i have hepitis during a routin blood test would it show up there? Does multi vitiams help i've have this tounge **** since i've been a teen. I comes and goes a doctor in the ER told me one time when i showed it to her that it's a virus in the system that so people have and it comes and goes. thank for the last reponse to my questions about it but can you maybe help me out with these.

Hi there, I can tell you that Hep-C wouldnt come up with a routine blood test, BUT if your doctor gave you a LFT (Liver Function Test) maybe your enzymes, ALT & a few others would show up as a slightly to moderately higher reading which requires a further blood test to see if youve got hep-C ... most people have Hep-C for years without knowing .... I have sore gums myself & yes I have Hep-C they say for 25+ years...
Maybe you should speak to your Dr & ask for a blood test to actually see if you do or don't have Hep-C, I hope you haven't but if you do its not the end of the earth, things can be done nowadays ...

for tounge and mouth problems, again caused by compromised immunity on tx my doctor prescribes nystatin.  it is the only thing that has worked and it is given to chemo patients experiencing the same problems.  I am amazed that I have not seen it talked about before on this forum, but for severe mouth infections it is the only thing that has alleviated it.

I have also noticed numbness on the tip of my tounge with this problem.I would say that any sores that do not fit the description(white rings red centers)are probably something else.Its not gonna do you any good to be upset about this.My doctors finally said to quit worrying about it and just accept it(although I still think that was easy for them to say,I mean REALLY would they want to kiss someone with rings on their tounges)but they do have a point,worrying wasnt making it go away.Nystatin and difflucan didnt stop mine.Thought at first that it helped but then realized it came and went by itself(no sense wasting money).Rest and less stress is the only thing that seems to help mine.These medicines are for fungal infections and I went so far as to have a tounge biopsy(they cut a piece of my tounge with the rings off and analyzed it.It was not fungal.Anyway I hope this info helps and that you wont worry anymore.
