what about the amonia level? Nobody talks about it but it is very dangerous. My wife is drinking stuff to wash out her liver now because her amonia level is so high it is deadly.

Guess you haven't gotten into the line of study.  There's some good info on Flukes Disease, as well as the association between the Aflatoxins and hep.c virus, are quiet commonly found together, based on what I've read on these things, but not claiming to be an authority on all this stuff either.   When the immune system is weakened by hep. hcv, cancer, [to just name a few] it leaves the door open to these viral organisms.  Just my 2 cents anyway. :-}

It sounds as though your wife may be taking Lactulose for management of ammonia. If so, it probably means she has developed decompensated liver disease. By no means should she try any ‘liver cleansing’ or ‘detoxing’ using either chemical or herbal compounds without the express consent and advice of her doctor—

Hello breed~ your right on spot about toxic build up of being dangerous, the amonia circulates through the bloodstream, flowing through the brain, which is not designed to filter out toxins, and becomes quiet notably effected with confusion, etc.  Has your doctor suggested any kind of management plan for balancing the elimination of toxins with tx?    Your wife should be careful with doing the liver cleansing before she has done the kidney cleanse first.  As the build-ups that gets moved on from the liver, quiet often collect in the kidneys...thus..the need for making sure the kidneys become the first objective...least she might pass one problem over to the next, if ya know what I mean?
  I suspect that your wife is not on tx.?  as if so, doing the liver flush might not be a good idea while on treatment.  The build up in the liver of hcv patients are mostly Flukes from what I understand, so to be really effective with the methods that your wife is using, and if I might suggest, that she consider elimitnating the flukes and aflatoxin organisms first, to have a more positive outcome.  The order of such would be: Cleaning the blood and organs of these miro organisms over a 20 day period of time with continued detoxing also, then the kidney and colon cleaning, followed with a liver flush last.
