tx free christmas and other posts

Well tx has been put off for me utnil after the new year. So looks like I'll be tx free for the holidays.

I will have to get my gallbladder out on December 7th....ugh. Then after new year I will start the havoc battle with tx. That little pain on the rightside this whole time has been my gallbladder not working. I thought it was my liver but nope...that little bile filled nuisance was my right side pain.

Hope all is well for the txers.

*please feel free to post anything else here*

A guy walks into the psychiatrist's office wearing only Glad Wrap shorts. The shrink says, "Well, I can clearly see you're nuts."

Thank you for the well wishes. I am a little happy about not having to be sick over the holidays. Although wish I cuold just get it over with.

Cuteus - yes my doc says the problems are probably from the hepc as she sees this a lot in her patients with hepc and no stones.

NYGirl- as it goes we are a like in the battle...fight fight fight and that means now..... lol

Kalio - The steamer info is in the previous thread.....thanks for the well wishes

Tator - thank you....surgery is fine with me as long as it gets rid of this damn pain......

veggieball - I am so glad they finally did too. I actually went around everyone and decided to fly to california to have it done. My mother in law works for a surgeon so I had her check with my insurance and everything is a go!! Onward and forward with our torches eh?!

I have gallbladder problems too but the pain is manageable so I opted to kick HCV's ass first! :)

Good Luck and have a great holiday

Oh my dear veg....you are a funny one.

Actually no my insurance won't cover the cost of my flight but at least i know I'll be in good hands....the surgeon is also my mother in laws very good friend and boss etc etc....her best friend is the recovery nurse. It is a small hospital so I feel so much better about it. My last surgeries were what put in this hepc position in the first place so I am going to a trusted source....also they all know about my hepc and won't be mean to little az girl.......

Good Luck. even if Insurance will not pay for the travel expenses they are deductible for tax purpose including mileage/car to airport, parking, air ticket - just about everything you'll incur.

happy tx free new yr!
I read something at the hivandhepatitisc site about gallbladder and hep c, it seems to be some connection, but I did not read the article. Hopefully you will recover fast from surgery.

Hey Deb

that's pretty decent news actually...sx free Christmas! why that's like having a present! ;-)

i tell you I was so anxious to get started it seemed like every day counted so MUCH. Now it feels like I've been on tx for a year already. I actually said to someone...way back months ago a while after I started treatment - and then realized that this week is only shot 9 or 10.

I have a friend who had her gallbladder out - she said the pain itself from the gallbladder was so SEVERE that the operation was like nothing compared to it. I hope that you find the exact same thing!

Wow...I'd love to have an ALT of 23! That's great news, Snook. Sounds to me like you'll be an official member of the SVR club soon. My fingers are tightly crossed for you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

hard to believe these two years happened! Is it a dream like memory yet? The dx, first tx, doc strugglesl and the trip of the 2nd tx, are they fading yet?
You are free!

Well, happy thanksgiving to EVERYONE!!!
Today I am VERY thankful. Many can remember how I was one of the people who NEVER obtained "normal" ALT readings during tx. I racked the minds of everyone that would listen, and seeked out the advice of the world's leading Hepatologists.
Well, one month PCR...
AST 19
ALT 23

Doc told me not to come in till 3 month, as they think I cleared!

Happy thanksgiving!!! And remember to be KIND to family today, even if you find yourself in a disagreement.
BE THANKFUL!

How big is that thing? Any chance of having it gilded and hanging it from the Chrismas tree?

One more month of anxiety is a small price to pay for getting rid of a big pain. Looks like you have made some good choices to have the gall bladder out and will be in the best of hands. Like Tator Tot says, the roller coaster will be waiting. Have a restful THanksgiving

Great news, Snook! I'm so glad you got this good news for the holidays. As a fellow menber of the "stubborn liver enzymes club", I am particularly glad to hear that the AST has returned to normal. Enjoy this time. I just know you'll be riding out of town on the old SVR bus!
Love,

I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving....thank you for the well wishes.

Snook...congratulations on your numbers. That is great.

Goof- as for recycling...I thought about doing the ornament thing but then decided on having them slice it into smaller pieces and roll into balls so I can use them as spitballs instead.....

Hi Lady

All is well this side of TX, 4 mth PCR was un-detectable. The only problem I am dealing with regarding after effects of TX is Lycanthropsey. Which I had before I started. I find myself a couple of times a month, waking up in the morning, I can't find my shoes and I have animal fur in my teeth. After 52 weeks of TX, it's a small thing to deal with.

All jokes aside, everything that caused them to find the HCV (they tripped over it,remember)came back 25 days after EOT. So I'm dealing with Rheumo's and Neuro's again. Other then that I feel normal, (what ever normal feels like).

I see all is well with you. Normal is an interesting feeling, isn't it. I know many are left with aches, pains or other conditions, but at the least, I find we have a sense of cerebral well being (what ever that means).

Hope you and yours have a healthy & prosperous holiday and a happy new year

You finished!! I did not go back to the delphi drama so have not been able to keep up with the OOB's progress! You are done and clear!! I am so happy, elated!

TY for posting the news, even if casually. I too, am dealing with the darn rheumy items that led me to dx, so, I am planning on seen this smart dr again. See what she has to say this time. With me is basically the herniated discs stuff and the sciatic pain, but also some minor RA like symptoms. Let's compare notes from our rheumys!

My RF was high pre tx and I want to find out what it is one yr post tx.
Take care and stay around!

Yo Cuteus How Yu do in

Yes I did complete 52 wks of tx. What a ride that was, like driving a car without air in the tires, having a 52 week hangover. If I ever hear "You will experience Flu Like Symptoms" again I'll go postal.
Yes I would like to compare Rheumy notes with you. Looks like were both in the same boat. There is a web site right here on med-help with a MD that aws questions and interacts with the members. I think I can post it without issue,
http://www.medhelp.org/forums/arthritis/wwwboard.html

Rheumy's are a trip, all they want to do is give out roids.
Hey Doc "I spent a year improving my immune system now you want me to suppress it, whats wrong with this picture"

I still have the same E mail. OOB is nothing but a memory. The drama was getting so off track that it made a daytime soap opera look like a cartoon. I read some Delphi forums for info and such, Silvia, Seekers, Vets, etc. Seems like were in the same boat with the RF stuff, mine came right back "Bam" 25 days after EOT. They swore the HCV was back, "Thanks Doc" but the PCR at 25 days was neg. Hey Doc "Now What" were right back where we started.
I have a good web site for rheumy's " The American Collage of Rheumatology" It is noted there that HCV with RF factors for all proposes is considered RA. E mail me. If you know of a Doc in the City that takes NYC GHI, thats up on this HCV/RA/Connective tissue disorder stuff, thingy, let me know. The ones I am dealing with are clueless. I feel like a episode on "House"

My best to you and yours, have a safe and prosperous holiday

Chev, Yes I do remember the AC/Heater incident. It had appeared that in had some climactic overtures to it, well almost I think (lol). You had a lot of people going on that one,

I am very happy for you that you have found your soul mate, you deserve it lady. I could only assume that you could not find a significant large body of water to do the SVR dance.
But it looks like you found a significant body with a significant %% of internal waters to dance with.

It's going to be a long dance to a long song.

Enjoy and Relish it all without mustard

I did save your email in my inbox, and will find it soon. I also found out that my rheumatoid factor is not in range a yr post tx. Not sure what it means at this point, it is only 18, but still out of range.
I found the other day, a post by you and was going to re copy it here for the newcomers at some point. It was the "advice" post. The one that starts with 'while on tx, never believe anything you think." No one has re issued it for the beginners in tx.
