unbelievable!

unbelievable!

Wow, you aren't going to believe this.
I passed two large kidney stones last week and didn't really even know it for sure. the latest ivp/ct shows them gone. hydronephrosis gone.  wow.

however, it did find something that troubles me. very enlarged lymph nodes near my liver. i have to have a PET scan.  Internist believes it is related to treatment.

anyone hear of this before?

I am two weeks out from stopping treatment now. it's STILL a roller coaster!

Deb, glad to hear you passed the stones and things are somewhat normal as far as that. Yeah, I would be very concerned about the lymph node but hopefully this will shrink in time after being off the meds. I am in defcon five these last four weeks of treatment and both side are getting beat up pretty bad for sure but I still have my surfboard and hopefully the risk reward will at least bring neutral ground. Take care and good luck with the other problem.

LOL ONly a Deb could do such a thing and not even really know it you nut!

Congrats on getting rid of them. Like i said before I only had little itty bitty stones and I remember my kidney hurting so badly (although I was only a baby at like 20 or so...the beginningof the downhill battles with age hadn't even started yet!), I'm glad that is over for you and we will really pray for your test.

Well I'm glad the kiney stones are gone. How awful- must not have been very comfortable. Although I suppose it's worse for guys :0 !
I don't know much about the lymph nodes, but I would imagine the doc is right about them being enlarged due to tx. Tx causes extra activity within the liver, and lymph nodes tend to swell when there is something going on near them. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, and I'm VERY sorry that you're going thru this. Tx is enough stress without additional worries. I hope everything goes fine with the PET scan. At least it's a noninvasive test, huh?
  Hugs and prayers,
Dee
