unexplained viral decrease

Does anyone maybe know why my viral load has gone from 400,000 to just 11,000 in two years without any treatment

Because the day you had PCR test happen to be the day your immune system won the battle.

Some days your immune system wins (low VL) and other days the HCV wins (high VL).

This constant battle is why people eventually feel bad, fatigue, joint pain, etc.

Best of luck

Mine has been as low as 60,000, and as high as 6 million (for some reason, when I was pregnant it rose, and dropped after preg)
I have a friend, who 5 yrs ago, had a viral load of 13 million, and now her VL is 1000, or sometimes even lower, she has even had a less than 43, but still detectable.
The bottom line is: if you have a detectable virus, you have Hep C, and if you have Undetectable viral load (less than 43) then you dont have the virus.
By the way, her liver enzymes are still quite elevated, with her very low viral load~

Yes , it is because viral load fluctuates all the time.
