I am signing off now til tomorrow...wicked tired today....New England weather!!! when the temp drops below 60.....so does my energy!!! (also when it goes above 78) i guess I need to move to CA and take my chances...!!
Vrial load has nothing to do with the amount of liver damage a person suffers. Gizmo is correct that the "viral load" is the amount of virus found in a specific measurement of the blood. Viral load is used to guage how well a person is responding to treatment. It is said that a person with a low viral load is more likely to respond to treatment than a person with a higher viral load. If I reacall correctly any viral load under 100,000 is considered VERY low and anything under 1mil is considered low. I could be slightly off on this though.
Mouse
so I guess 3 mill. is med high? oh I don't like this thing at alll!!!!!
tanks!
I think it's something like below250,00 is low, 250,000 to 1 million is medium. Above 1 million is high. 5 million and above is very high.
Numbers aren't exact but that's the kind of scale I remember. My starting VL was 1,140,000 and that was considered high
Your stage and grade look good, though and it seems you have minimal damage.

Hi i am fairly new here and to Hep C but it was explained to me by my doctor that your viral load is how they measure how much virus is in your blood. Im not sure about lowering it, i think the only way to do that is treatment. Again i am new to Hep C and I may not understand everything correctly but I hope this helps.
Best wishes
