Is this my viral load and what does this number mean? Is it high or low? What scale is it based on?

Mine was 2.8 million IU/mL.  Am now cured.  753,780 is high but not very high.  Some have over 20 million.  New drugs introduced around Labor Day 2011 aprox. go for it!.

It's not too high.  Mine was 2.8 million and I am now cured.
Some people have told me that they were 30 million, that's very high.
You are quite curable. Go for it.

Yes, Mia-

That number is your viral load; the amount of virus found in one milliliter of blood.

That is actually a very moderate viral load, relatively speaking. The actual cut off for determining low viral load is now 400,000 IU/mL; so technically, this is considered high; although most of us have viral loads in excess of 1,000,000 IU/mL.

Viral load results aren’t particularly important until treatment commences; at that point it’s used as a barometer of response to the meds.

Viral load doesn’t necessarily correlate with disease severity or progression, if that’s your concern.

Good luck-
