week 5

Hello to everyone,
It has been sometime know that I have come to this site,but I'm back.
Im hep c positive, geno 1a stage 3.
I started Pegasy's-copegus treatment five weeks ago. I do shots Monday nights and Tuesdays are my don't bother me with anything day..The yuk day.
The only problem I'm have is with my blood preasure, it has gone up, so everyday I have to get my blood preasure taken daily.
But my question today is, Is it because of the drugs? and Can I go on medication for my blood preasure while doing treatment?
I don't have history of high blood preasure as a martter of fact It was normal before I started.
Other than that so far so good.

this is not uncommon on treatment. i was already on a tiny dose of blood pressure
meds and had to double it and add another type to go with it. you can buy a
blood pressure checker at walgreens for about $10 (the cheapest one obviously)
you better check it every day while on treatment and/or just go ahead and get some
meds for it. its ok to take it during treatment and may be necessary for you. go ahead and get that under control.
for most people everything returns to normal after treatment.

yup day 4 of daily blood pressure watch and still high. So I phoned about and going to Doc's this afternoon to get on something.

Welcome back...sorry I don't remember you from before, but my brain was impaired to say the least, still is, but not as much.  Keep posting and reading!  How is your HGB now?  It is good you are going to the dr about maybe getting something for the blood pressure!
