well, I finally had to use neupogen. Tomorrow will be week 14 completed!

Hi guys and gals! I am at work in my office today, tomorrow will be the end of week 14 TX with Victrelis. I am proud to say I only missed one day of work so far, and finished the semester at school. It has not been easy, but I am embracing the UND viral load! One day at a time, I am closer to SVR! This morning my doctor called and told me to inject the neupogen that has been in my refrigerator for 2 months. The first time my WBC count was low it was at .48 neutrophils. Now it is at .25, so I did neupogen this morning. I do feel more energetic, and a little quizzy, but I am glad, I have not caught a cold or flu yet this season. I am so grateful, thank you for all the support and stories you share on here. So many of you have touched my life by helping me get through this. Happy Holidays!

Hope your riba reduction helps your Hgb come back up and you feel better.  Sounds like that might already be happening.  A 1/wk cbc is good to keep an eye on the ANC and other levels.  All sounds great!

hi! I do actually feel more energetic today. I do a CBC once a week. My hemoglobin is also pretty low due to the Victrelis, around 9, it fluctuates. I tried Proctir and ended up with a 3 day fever and migrane, so they took me off the procrit and reduced my ribavirin from 1000 to 800 mg.

Sounds like you're doing very well and welcome to the neupogen club.  I'm a frequently flyer with 2x per week.  Glad to see your doc is recommending neup now since .25 is pretty low.  With levels that low they recommend more hand washing and avoiding exposure if possible.  I feel little to no effect from the neup, no extra energy, sometimes a very minor achy feeling.  Curious how often you're looking at your cbc's since your ANC levels will bounce around now.  Good luck to you and Happy Holidays to you as well.
