what does this mean

I just received a call from my doctors nurse and they want to refer me to a nefrologist.

here are the test results I just picked up...
I have no idea what they mean.
Does this look bad:

Tests: (1) 24 Hr Prot (24HPRO UR)
collection time - 24
volume = 2700 ml
prot ur 102.70 mg/L
prot 24 Hr Ur (H) 0.28 g/24h 0.0 - 0.23

Tests: (1) 24 Cr Cl (24HCCL UR)
Collection time 24
Volume 2700 ml
Creat 0.91 mg/dl 0.70-1.40
Creat Ur 40.1 mg/dl
Creat 24 Hr 1.1 g/24hr 0.6 - 2.5
Cr Cl (L) 83 ml/min 100-130

Tests: (1) Lactate (LAC)
Lactate 0.7 mmol/l 0.7-2.1

Now I need to let you know that the jug they gave me to urinate in for 24 hours was only about 2/3 full.  I missed about 4 times (sleepy!) and could have filled the jug all the way up and probably another quarter.  When I told the lab tech this , she said that they would just estimate.

I am also taking several suppliements.
and I am currently on the southbeach diet, phase 1, in an attempt to get my blood sugar under control .  It is currently high (90-120) only in the mornings.

I do not have high blood pressure.

I also went thru 12 weeks of inf/riba tx for hcv.  I have been off those meds now for about 5 months.

I recently had a very thorough ultrasound at the direction of my hcv doctor.  They looked at everything... liver, pancreas, spleen, and kidneys.  They also made recordings of the blood moving through veins to these organs.
I have not met with my doc yet , who I assume will go over this latest ultrasound.
My pcp nurse and I decided to wait on the nefrologist until I meet with my hcv doc and go over the newest ultrasound results.

I also had an ultrasound of my kidneys about 1 year ago, because I was concerned (paranoid?) about my kidney health.  The report came back as normal.  apparently no problems were detected.

Around 20 years ago I went to a nefrologist and he said my kidneys were fine.  I did this because my dad had polycystic kidney disease and I know that I have a 50/50 chance of also having this condition.

I am wondering if I should be in a panic mode and am fighting to stay out of that mindset.
any thoughts, opinions, advice, etc.  would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Well it is a kidney doctor but most of us on here don't know too much about that...we're just hcv obsessed. I'm assuming that there was a good reason that you stopped treatment early and that it had to do with your kidneys? Certain meds that we take for treatment can affect them but the hepc I don't think will directly.

I would assume somehow this is all connected but don't panic.

Sorry I don't have much knowledge in this area.

Is there a kidney MH forum? Maybe someone on a kidney forum would be able to give you more advice than me!
