I don't know the age of your child (it seems like young kids can have unusual colored stools) but with adults white stools are not a good sign. It can be an indication of a serious liver problem. I'd check this out. Mike

The Eeyore comment stumped me for a minute, then when I finally got it, I cracked up.  Thanks for that one.  It was cute!

I don't know if anyone else remembers the green poo someone posted about a year ago.  In their case, the culprit was black jelly beans.  Dave

Switch her over to chocolate milk.

by Hepatitis Researcher, Dec 18, 2007 04:56PM
Pale stools can and are often   a sign of cholestasis - inability to secrete bile into the intestinal tract - ,could be blockage or hepatitis. I ditto mikesimons comment.

I apologize for making light of this. I thought this an old post from 2005 and didn't see your thread. hope your daughter is o.k.

when i was on tx i would have various different colored stools some white,or pale some green and my doc always kept a close eye on me with blood test to rule out certain issues with my stools as well as an ultra sound.

i believe the bottom line is as mikesmom and hep researcher and others have stated seeing a doc would be the best option.

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones and i pray your daughter will be or get better whichever the case may be.  : O )
