This is a question for your doctor not a messageboard. There are many medictions out there for the things you mention. No one here knows your medical history and we cannot prescribe drugs. You need a doctor to write the presctiptions.

I agree this is a question for a doctor.  I would add that each of us is responsible for becoming informed about our health issues and challenges.  Start by having a frank discussion with your doctor, then educate yourself.  It is your health at stake here and you are the one who has most to gain or lose.  Take charge of your life.

Only a hepatologist (gastroenterologist with liver specialty) can adequately determine treatment.  Your GP or any non-specialized physician has never been trained in the treatment of hep c or cirrhosis and honestly does not have the knowledge to make any informed decisions about your treatment.  It's just the way we train doctors.  They specialize in an area and all of the other medical topics get left to the other specialties.

i am new to the internet and was stating a question. this is what people should be aware of  when trying to manage their health. i have been to over 18 doctors which no one really followed up on any tests, and some medicial conditions they thought i could live with. you have to stand up and be direct. follow up on everything.

I don't understand your question, it's too broad.  Do you have all those things you mentioned?  What kind of tests have you taken.  You are the one that needs to follow-up. Don't depend on anyone else.

I'm confused too.  If you do have hepc then you should go to at least a GI and he will do the blood tests and biopsy but you have to make the calls to them and tell them you want to investigate it further. you can't assume you have cirrhosis just cause you have hepc - have you been biopsied already?

18 DOCTORS is an AWFUL lot!
