yellow eyelids

I suffer from high cholesterol and am taking statins to keep the level down. However I have yellow eyelids which I am unable to find the reason for and also unable to get the colour back to normal, any suggestions

I have had yellowing in my eyelids for many years.  Most of the time, nobody really notices it because it's located in my lower lids and I have on makeup covering it.  But, a dermatologist pointed it out over 5 years ago to me saying that it was probably high cholesterol and that I needed to ask my primary care doctor about it.  I never did.  I figured, why bother, I refuse to use statins.  Now, my cholesterol is all normal, but my eyelids haven't really changed.

I also have yellow eyelids. My cholesterol is normal, but I have hypothyroidism. I've asked a dermatologist and he had no idea what was causing it.
