Don't worry. Ribavarin has a long half life meaning it stays in your system a longer time. When you realize you miss a dose, take it then.

The only way I can remember to take my pills is I keep them in a pill organizer.
You could also set an alarm on your phone to help remember.

Missing one dose won't hurt you, as OH said it builds up in your system, of course you would not want to miss doses all the time but one time should be ok.  If you are really worried you could talk to your doctor
Good luck

Patient should be informed about what to do in the event they miss a dose of Ribavirin tablets.

The missed doses should be taken as soon as possible during the same day. Patients should not double the next dose. Patients should be advised to call their healthcare provider if they have questions.

Cheers!

Once you've built up a good level in you system it shouldn't matter to miss a dose - but if it were me (and it was more than once) I would make it up. I would not double a dose because of potential GI issues but I'd get the missed pills down with 12 hours or so.

I am not sure who recommended it but I now use a pill reminder that has 4 separate alarms and have not missed a dose since. They are great!  I think the site is epill.com but they are a bit pricey....wish I would have known Walmart have them...darn!

It is real easy to miss meds the pill reminder was the only thing that got on tract.

Hi Ya Mike,  I fell asleep 2 x's and was late on my doses , I made it up. I did not double dose, but I did not have extra pills.
Hey I asked my trial doc how long the trial drug (P.I.) drug would be in my system after I quit taking it. He said it would not be in my system @ all. it leaves right away. That is why people are taking these P.I's 3 or 4 times a day. I only took my polymerase  (spelling) inhibitor 2 x's daily BTW. With that being said, that is why it is important not to miss doses with the P.I's I suppose?  The riba does stay in your system for a time.   Hey Mike good job and good luck, with the tx ;-)
