9 mnths. post tx pcr

by dyce, Nov 03, 2007 10:31AM
Just got the results for the 9 mnth. post tx pcr, still clear down to 10 iu/ml . The team I txed with have been testing me every 3 months since finishing to c if I'll be ok. I was geno 1/a with a vl of 5,000,000. Had the virus for about 20 years and man it's great to be clear of the bug. Txed for 48 weeks with full compliance so there is a great chance of clearing . Been real busy and it's great to be back from the dead.

Hey, what's with all the test, buddy. You're SVR. Cured. Done. Finished. It's Hamburger time :)

But seriously, congratulations on your nine month test. I actually tested at 9 and 12 months, but my next test won't be until the 2 year mark, and I may even skip that. After that, no more tests unless something very unusual comes up.

Be well,

-- Jim

Hello,
As a newcomer to the forum, I have been sharing the good news and also the bad side effects for about 3 months now and feel like I have made new friends that I have not met.  I am 64 years old, vl of 3,613,420 Grade 2 Stage 1 started tx on 10-26-07.  Diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago, but probably received HCV in blood transfusions over 20+ years ago from all things liver surgery.  It is great that we are not having to make this difficult journey alone.

Not really nuthin to complain bout there goldyn. It took my red blood cnt. awhile to come all the way back up and the bulky muscles I always carried took sum time to feal back out on this ole frame.Back up to 200# and feelin good, Been workin alot and enjoyin things I use to take for granted.

Stuff that use to anxiety me out before don't bother the dyce so much anymore. Glad to be rid of the hcv and back to real livin.

Did ya ever get the bp problem straightened out?
