Where on the Isalnd were you?
Have a great time in NY. There is no better place to spend the holidays.
chellski, I have a good friend that lives on 5th and 95th. She must face your sister's place.
i leave friday afternoon for a weekend in NYC, and i can't wait. My youngest and i will be staying with my sister who lives at 100 & central park west (a beautiful view of the park) -
our visit's at christmas time are bittersweet, as my husband loved going every year at this time with our 3 girls. he's gone now, but memories of him are everywhere. my daughter, sister and i will definitely be ice skating in rockefeller center! - i'll be the one on my butt! heh. it is truly a lovely place to be. chelley
I just got back from thanksgiving on long island- so beautiful! I was feeling on top of the world just getting to see the fall colors and rolling hills, something this New Yorker really misses down in the Big Easy. Can't wait to see the bright lights, big city for christmas
"The tree was spectacular. The tree was spectacular."
Well...it was...
Looks like a brain stutter... : }.....maybe a minor stroke?
I was at Rockefeller Center last year in December with my neice and nephew. The tree was spectacular. The tree was spectacular. We had a wonderful day/night. I miss NY! It will always be home to me.
nygirl: I really cannot understand how we got that rep? If ya ask me...i'd prefer to do business and/or pleasure w/ a New Yawka any day of the week. It's so different here in PA.... :{
Every year,,,I say that I'm going to go to New York at Christmas for the tree lighting but still haven't made it. Next year,,,we are definitely going! I'm sure its gorgeous! Sorry to hear that your mother in law is feeling bad, That is a tough situation to be in,,,trying to be there and make something work for the long term solution also. Take Care!
Just arrived back in Tampa. My mother in law feels pretty sick when she returns from dialysis. She fell yesterday after the treatment. Dialysis is very rough on the circulatory system. It drops pressure on the way to the machine and raises it when it puts the blood back. I think she is suffering TIAs after the treatment.
We have hired people to take care of her when we are not here, but we have still to figure out a long term solution. Mafalda is doing OK, but worried about mom and me. I am crazed when I am here in Florida, but doing my best not to add to Mafalda's stress - it's not easy!.
Thank you both for asking.
Eric
people think we're all meanies - gun touting dart shooting illiterates who all say "terlet" like Archie Bunker but I have to say in my humble.....there is no place more special in the world, especially at Christmas time.
What's up with you Andiamo? What's the latest?
You know I never thought about my thyroid being any of the problem with my skin...I couldn't understand why it wasn't getting better but maybe that is it.
how's Mafalda and her mom?
Me too. I can see it in my mind's eye, all brown and amber like late November but with a pulse, heady, fast, Oh, I remember. ; ]
We just returned from seeing the tree lighting. Everyone is in such a good mood. I just love the city this time of year.
I do hope all you left coast people can meet up with us eastern folks.
My daughter is in New York. She loves it. I guess I better go visit her.
