Acupunture thread again :}

First I want to apologize (2nd time since starting tx:}, that I have not posted to many ‘help’ post  much lately.  The change over, and having a hard time keeping track of my own threads, thoughts, Riba, lol!
Lost my trial record book for the 1st time! (found it!)  Getting really ‘tx silly’ too! Can be fun :}

   We’ve had threads on acupuncture a few times. To fill in any newer posters…..after 10 years at same Dr.’s office, seeing a few of their Dr.s. many high ALT, SLT’s past labs, testing for ONLY Hep A & B in 2003 (and I never knew ANY of this until I got all my labs from them 8 mths. Ago!), I was sent to an acupuncturist /Chinese med. ’Dr.’  to quit smoking. Her 1st exam, ‘Chinese cat scan’. etc.
(pretty much they check organs thru weird ways! ), never seen me, had NO history, labs, she said “something is very wrong with your liver, tell them to check that”. She believes in/works with all medicines together.
    I THAN found this Hep C I’ve had over 30 yrs.! She got me into Shands, one of the best Dr.s within weeks and made it barely in time for this trial ..FREE!  (I got a call from other Dr.’s 1 week before starting tx to tell me my ‘referral‘ was ready!!)
  She pushed treating! Ironically, she specializes in Hep treatment and treating cancer/chemo sides!  Dr. has faxed her tx info., working ‘with’ her to treat sides, etc. My trial /cood. Nurse worked for one for years and she totally believes in it. When my hgb was very low, she treated me @10 days straight, having me go to her home on weekend! Hgb went up twice now. (Only charges 1 visit a week!)
  
   Fast forward to now! She has been gone for 5 weeks in India training 5 Dr.s and 3 interns and certifying them in acupuncture at a hospital started by ‘Saint Alma’.  
I go in today , she does my shots too:}, hadn’t seen her in 5 weeks. Does her thing, talks to me and we decided to not do my shot until early AM (it’s ok with NP, can do 12-24 hr.s later/earlier) as everything was very ‘low, not good, very concerned for me. Has never suggested that before.  When I got there…pain in legs bad, Riba ‘wheeze’ cough flaring, hands/body very clammy, sweaty,  dizzy, headache, nauseas, etc. She wanted to treat me today, in am and than do shot. One hr. there and since I left…..headaches much less (no meds for it), hands/body totally ‘dry’, nausea is gone, no wheeze at all, haven’t coughed and have been ‘up’ doing things since I got home! I swear by it! Not ‘all better’ but better! As I laid there -(@ 20 needles -STERILE-and after ‘moxy’-heating certain area’s of the body- you feel bronchial/lungs opening up, felt my body  ‘cooling’ and hands were dry in 30 minutes, not ‘hot’ feeling anymore. Thru out tx, the few times I felt depression setting in, I’d run over there (I could walk there from here too:}, and she’d treat that a several days and I have not needed AD’s at all.

  I am an educated woman, lot of common sense, while spiritual with an open mind:} and no door mat, dingbat or easily BS’d!  Of course some believe, some don’t, but when I 1st went there I was skeptical. Two things she said…”livers bad and YOU need to eat meat!” How’d she know either!!?? (I rarely eat meat!)
Let alone, how much longer would I have carried this without dx? The only reason it was found is she said tell them to check your liver! They are starting to recognize this in helping chemo sides and many things.
    Anyway, wants my labs immediately when their in and wants report form Dr. visit Friday. Wants me in there every day until I am feeling better, back ‘up’ (no x charge!) She’s awesome.
   I do recommend it to anyone’s that’s open to it.

Oh yeah....is nagging me about when am I going to DO the quit smoking part:} Haven't!

all I can say is, I've been doing acupuncture for years...highly recommend it but you need to find someone who knows what they are doing...for pain, etc...just love it...it just kicks the endorphins into gear, so many things...I love the stuff, in fact, going to make an appt thanks for reminding me...
