wow - you discribed it perfectly...tooo weird huh - it's doing it right now - while I try to lay in bed on the computer it goes nuts like spasms that won't stop - If I lay flat and put the big vibrating massager on it and the rest of my tummy...on down :-) it gets better (sorry couldn't resist - relief is relief right?)
Rita - I'll ask about the chrondritis...thanks for the info...it's been quit a while now and seems to be getting lots worse. It's so weird...like now, it feels like a little alien is just twisting amd churning down there - lower left rib cage) If I grab it and press on it and lay down it will stop....but that's not something you want to have to do all day long...ugh
so weird others have it to - thanks for letting me know
I also have pain on my left side ribs right below the sternum. Drives me nuts. At least you burp the x-tra gas, mine comes out the oyher end. My back pain ended up being a kidney infection, hopefully it is gone.

I believe it's called chondritis. It is a virus that inflames the cartilage of the ribs usually on one side. It hurt in my spleen area. I had it during tx and the doctor said it would take a few weeks to go away. It hurt to breath which was already difficult during tx. It did finally go away. Painful but not serious thank god.
I too have back/rib pain that comes around to the front on the R side at base of rib cage. It feels like a rib is dislocated or I have a spear going right through me. I had XRAY for rib and Ultra sound for lover and gallbladder with no results. It seems to get worse after eating and/or physical activity can provoke it. It is very bad at night when I go to lie down. I am up right now because it hurts so much. Sometimes it hurts when I inhale and it feels like I am really bloated. This has been going off and on since Tx and seems to be getting worse. I am not sure what it could be but it is quite painful but sometimes it goes away. Let me know if you find out any info or what tests would be good.
Who knows what this crazy TX has done to our systems?
Take care and congrats on RVR and UND at 2 months post 13 weeks.
