So break out those red flip flops because it's going to be a non-stop beach blanket bingo with Nathan's Beef Franks roasted on the campfire!
Except Rocker. I'm sure we can make something out of that textured protein stuff ....
:-X
Hey Eric - I may stick my face in the water and snorkel a bit. I'm bringing nizoril to slather all over my face because it still can't tolerate sunshine.
I had a fluoroscopic hip injection the other day and can almost walk like a human again. I know I'm not the only kid on the block with almost debilitating joint pain, post tx. Still working on becoming bionic.
SQ to HQ - much love to you. Hope we catch up soon.
To everyone else - pack your suits and a blanket because it's BEACH TIME!!
Eric

Sunqueen - I'm so very glad to hear you'll be at the beach; RED flip-flops, jandals, thongs, the sun on your face; so very very much to celebrate. Stay in touch. There must've been fortuitous planets revolving for the G3 brigade last year. Congratulations... this is fantastic xxx
Congrats Sunqueen - all the best to you in your HCV-free life!
Trish
Hope the injection helps, was it a steroid injection? What's going on with your hip?

Sorry it takes me so long to respond these days. I kind of pine for the way it was here, sort of like a bad Streisand song.
Kristina my friend, I looked everywhere for news about you and SVR on one of my random drop in visits and was too worried to write to you as well. LOL! I hope you're doing fantastic. We got each other through the worst of it :D A year ago I was mostly face down in my own drool. Ha!
Trish - I worked hard to avoid the Oktoberfests they had in these parts. I fell into a keg of one of those special import Oktoberfest beer about 5 years ago and had horrrific memories of doing the chicken dance with men in lieder-hose when I came to my senses. Part of me wanted to go eat my way through the crowd and the other part worried that the beer would call and I'd be weak so I avoided it this year.
Bug - yes, it was a big fat steroid shot with some anesthetic in it, under imaging. My whole HCV dx started with blood work because of intolerable hip pain. Now, I don't know if tx had some magical anti-inflammatory property, or if the rest of me felt THAT krappy, but I didn't start to really suffer again until I finished. They ruled out avascular necrosis and cryoglobulenemia after tx and said I have severe osteoarthritis. No resurfacing for me. I'm looking at replacement for both hips, but the right one first! The shot really helped and he said I can do it a few times a year until I'm ready to do the surgery. So far I'm having quite a lot of relief!
Marcia my most awesome sis, I would not have plugged along so well without you either! I'm always grateful for the love and support of so many beautiful people here.
You guys just keep on being you!!
FABULOUS ! So many are getting 'here'.
Hope post tx is doing you right, your healing up and enjoying life, Hep C free!
Congrats SunQ, LL
