"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”
"So what u are saying is the people with the 5 stars are not qualified to give good help/,,,BTW...they took down the " expertise" format by the names if this helps you"
No Rocker. I never said that those with 5 stars are not qualified to give good help. What I have said is that the number of stars has very little to do with any qualifications to give good help. Someone with 1 star or 3 stars or 5 stars is capable of giving good help depending on the question and support required at any given time. If you look at the stars, they have more to do with the number of posts than what is IN the posts. What I'm saying is stars are about the number of posts and nothing to do with quality. Do you understand what I'm saying?
Yes...I'm pleased they got rid of the "expertise" notation beside all our names. I felt that was the right thing to do. We are not doctors nor experts in Hepatitis. And it was a bit ridiculous that anyone with a star from 1 to 5 was labelled as having an Expertise in whatever the forum topic was. Very misleading. We have experiences and knowledge to share. Not expertise.
opps sorrY TRIN....the above question was for Trish

Nothing against jokes...I like 'em. You don't see me on other threads posting over and over about how it really doesn't matter and that they should only post about what matters to ME....do you?? So why a group of people keep posting on THIS thread about why this topic doesn't matter to THEM is beyond me. So...it doesn't matter to SOME people. So go post on other threads. Seems pretty simple to me. A bunch of posts from the same people over and over about why this topic doesn't matter to THEM is beginning to look like a bad Seinfeld episode. Move on then, for pete's sake.
We all help, even when we post on "other topics " in the social fourm,to be social and tell jokesis therapuetuic*(spelling) too..a good laugh is good for the soul.Take er easy .
"A foolish man tells a woman to stop talking, but a wise man tells her that her mouth is extremely beautiful when her lips are closed."
Yes Trish, dont take it so seriously as its seems to me u are,who the hell rteally cares about badges and stars anyway...all i know is in=m SVR and this is what really matters in the end...right?
"I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”
.... or am I getting too ambitious here?
Any strategies on how to get more than 5 stars?
Perhaps it's our deranged minds living behind a facade of expertise. At least it gets you three stars hey?
The Silver Lining is, at 3 stars you have made it to my level. Kudos LOL
I'm fairly sure we'll see a few more dissertations before they drag away the carcass.
Oooooh ooh ooohhh!!! There's a best answer up for grabs. Pick me! Pick me! Ooooh ooh oohh....
The fault, dear Brutus is not in our stars .... :-)
I have one main question, come on now, does anyone really care about who get the most stars or badges...time to let this issue slide.Med help is right in saying give it a chance.
'Out of the way, it's a busy day
I've got things on my mind.
For the want of the price of tea and a slice

Then perhaps those who don't think this is important should simply stop posting. It would have been done already as it was left at waiting on further changes for MedHelp. Ironic that it's the ones who continuously post about how unimportant this all is that keep this topic alive.
I think we have covered this subject exhaustively, and exhaustingly.
I understand. I simply felt you had nothing to apologize for. Neither does anyone who wrote MedHelp behind the scenes to to protest this either. You decide what actions you take to address the priorities in your own life, I decide the same for me. If this issue is not important to some people, they are free to post on the threads that DO matter to them. This clearly matters to me for all the reasons I stated and I have not changed my mind. Everyone has the right to their passions and different things drive different people. Good thing too so that each person can focus on the things they aer passionate about instead of everybody focusing on everything. My priorities are in exactly the right place for ME, Elaine. There are some threads I leave to other people simply because it is not a battle I choose to engage in. Everyone picks their battles and if their energy is better served in a different direction then they should not be criticized for picking their battles and neither should I. So if you decide your energy is better spent somewhere else, fair enough. Allow me the same to decide what is important to ME.
People continuously posting how much they DON'T care about this issue because they have so much more important things to focus on becomes very specious when those comments are used as a vehicle to criticize others.
You can apologize all you like, Elaine. In my opinion, if I am actually entitled to have one, I saw nothing you had to be sorry for whatsoever.

"Thanks Emily, I like the recent activity on top. "
Me too. Now can we try a shade of mauve, maybe?
Now wait just one minute!!! I now have 4 of those stupid stars and I don't deserve any let alone 4. I am not the most knowledgeable, I don't post studies, I don't know the technical stuff, All I have mostly ever done was talk about my experiences. Soooo because I posted 10 times in 2 days I get a star??? com'on that is stupid!!
I know it is trivial but that is my OCD side coming out.
Denise
Thanks Emily, I like the recent activity on top. The top posters (responders or whatever it is called) never changes, no offense to those that are there I would just rather see the activity
Denise
I sense most do see the things that are bigger than ourselves and our writing/response or should I say the LACK there of is a reflection we understand the concept before us, and whether we like it or not we accept it and move on without a lot of drama. I am NOT the voice of the MedHelp community and do NOT feel it is my place to represent others. What MH does is their business just a what I do is my business. I
will continue to take what I need from the interaction and information presented on this forum and apply it or not. My disease and how it effects me along with how I help others is most important. I disagree with many things but it doesn't involve verbose replies, speculations or criticisms to make my point and unless someone is giving incorrect information about hepc or treatment I don't really care about badges, stars or revenue.
