Calling Honey,,are you out there?

Hi Honey - woney,
I am trying to remember if there were any geno 2's that relapsed after 24 weeks - then re-treated for 48 and SVR'd. I can't think of anyone, but maybe cause you are here longer you know someone (mikesimon told me to flag you). Was Tator a geno 2 relapser who re-treated and Svr'd? For some reason she came to mind, but I'm not sure.

Thanks.

PS - If any of you guys out there know of anyone, let me know- thanks.

He has a website where you can read all about his TXs.

howdy mike, do you remember anything about Tonys re-treatment?

I'm starting to feel like a science project instead of a patient because I don't think these doctors have too many geno 2 relapsers to compare me to.

I am going to ask how many in their practice they have re-treated with success, without having to go for the 3rd round.

yeah I know Jim- RVR geno 2 relapse - rare. Good point you brought up about many didn't have the 4 week VL test. I insist on weekly until I clear then once a month.

Hi Honey!! so you found one person and he had to tx 3 times. Yeah thats what I don't want, yuk. I want to see studies or at least one decent size study of geno 2 relapsers that do 48 weeks and clear. CS posted one for me and it was a study of 6 geno 2 relapsers- they did 48 weeks and 4 svr'd and 2 relapsed. Those odds stink, no? Yes, pew pew stinky. But I guess there aren't large studies of geno 2 relapsers cause most svr. LvdbyGod did 72 for second tx? What made the doctors deceide to do that? To tell you the truth I would rather do that than 48 and then have a better shot at svr. They give me 90% chance of clearing with 48. I heard that before with 24 weeks so I don't get excited.

Yes,if you can get a hold of TonyZ and ask him what interferon and what did they change and did he wind up treating 72 weeks? Thanks honey. If he wants he can email me - or through you - either way.

Thanks alot appreciate it. Maybe mike remembers some of Tonys stats.

Elaine, I disappeared, I know. I had to take a shower before I fell asleep at the computer. Then hung out with my husband for a little while so he doesn't feel ignored. Men are babies sometimes.

I'm having a cup of tea and then I'll probably go to sleep soon. Its almost 11 pm here. I"ll read a few threads and go to sleep soon. Have a good night.

Child,,,you are right,,,we shop and cook and then its over in a blink!  Makes you wish that we didn't always use the holidays as times to get together!  Wonderful to see you still here and supporting..How's Nick?

Myown,,,,I found the list and tons of 2's that reached SVR except one that I know and it took him I believe 3 times to get there.  I can't believe I didn't remember when I read your post!   Mikesimon probably remembers TonyZ as some others may also know.  He still sends me jokes,,,etc every once in awhile so I can find his email address tonite and have him refresh me on his story.  I will get back with you...

Hey Myown!  I'm afraid I may not be much help but I'm thinking,,,,,Most of the ones I went through tx with were geno 1's.  Tater was the mix 1A/1B like NYgirl and she did treat a 2nd time after first relapse and now is SVR.  hmmmmm geno 2's,,,,,Chevygal was a 2 but did reach SVR and LvdbyGod was a geno 3 and relapsed and went on for 2nd treatment,,,72 weeks and reached SVR.  There is a list that we all filled out during our tx and many before us and has all the geno's and if they reached SVR and I'm looking for it so will see what I can find for you.  Is that your dr's plan,,,,after first try of 24,,,now going for 48?  I will check around and see if I can find something more on geno 2's and meanwhile maybe someone else will see this thread also and respond.  This thread also should be on other side so everyone will see.  I really do feel that the extended tx,,,,that will get this stubborn virus but I know how you feel,,,,you want actual people and numbers!!
Are you ready for a second round,,,,I mean do you feel like you have recovered from last and ready to start again?  I will get with you Myown and you have been in my prayers,,,I know what a struggle this has been for you!

Hey Child!!  How ya doing?  Did you enjoy Christmas and the holidays?  We had a really good time and enjoyed visiting with family and catching up,,,,just went to darn fast and then everyone was already leaving :(

How's Wyntre doing on her tx?  Is she hanging in there?

If you're looking for an RVR who treated 24 weeks, relapsed, and then treated 48 weeks and went on to SVR, you may not find one for two reasons. First, statistically most geno 2 RVRs do not relapse. And second, until recently a lot of folks did not have a week four viral load test so some data may be lacking. BTW not being able to match up stat-for-stat is very frustrating, but very common. For example, in my case, I was trying to match up stats for stage 3 babe magnets who RVR'd.

Hi Elaine!
Happy New Year to you too. I hope all is well. Yeah I thought Tator was geno 2, and for some reason I think she treated 2 times. Maybe I am wrong. But I was wondering if there is anyone out there with my stats etc. Thanks Elaine

Mike, thanks. I'm in no rush. I'm just curious. I'll bump this up a few times and if Honey doesn't come on forum and see it within a few days, I'll email her. I have a feeling that there hasn't been anyone with my stats RVR etc. But incase there is I am curious to see if the doctor changed anything for the second round.
