Celexa - and I don't sleep. Or I sleep 20 hours in one night. I gave up trying to regulate it.

But I stopped taking the Celexa - it worked ok for me.

Good luck.

Do you live in a state with medical marijuana?
I live in CA, and have a prescription for cannabis.
It helps with sleep, and relieves pain. It is obtained in a
dispensary.
If you have attachment to the cannabis "high", I might consider
other options. The truth is most pharmaceuticals are liver toxic,
or in the case with the benzo's, very addictive.

Last time on tx and again this time I take 5 mg Lexipro and seems plenty and when tx ends then easy to come off of immediately because it wasn't a high dose. I also live in a med marijuana state and used to smoke it until I saw studies that indicated a 7X speed up of fibrosis activity in users and I'm stage 4/4. i would really like to justify it but just can't due to that as I have the 'desire' too.... (well put with the comment of having a bias to the high as I do, so for those 2 reasons I make myself stay away for now). The hormones I can't speak to as I'm a guy :>) good luck...

not really a depressant(actually use pulse rate increase to judge potentcy) but i'm not sure it can cure real full-on depression predictably...but,it was a great help to ME thru out trx..reduced my black moods& general fatigue and then increased my appetite&appreciation of food,sex.music-i firmly believe that it was my best defense against sx's of the trx drugs..just one man's experience

cannabis is a depressant. Not exactly what you want to be taking if you are depressed. And like other states with MM laws, you are still not exempt from the federal laws governing the use of marijuana. They've busted a few here who paid for the licenses.

It is a depressant of the CNS.

Alcohol consumption can make people more 'lively' too,and no one can argue it's not a depressant, either. Fact is, when a depressant is taken, the body reacts by producing adrenalin. This is why a faster heartbeat is noted. It will subside quickly as the depressant takes over. The opposite happens when stimulants are put into the body.

It does help some people with side effects. Like you mentioned, appetite is one area that improves for some who smoke. A word of caution, though-- unless you are sure of the source I wouldn't smoke any with a compromised liver. I'm sure it wouldn't surprise you to learn that in some countries, including Mexico, the use of insecticides and pesticides are becoming more and more commonly used. And DDT is still allowed in many of these countries, as well as other banned chemicals. So, caution is warranted.

Yours in truth,
Mr Liver

alcohol and pot are v different drugs..and our reactions to them are also different..clinical trials to measure level of thc in pot use pulse rate increase as measure..alcohol does not cause an increase in pulse rate...i did 48 weeks of trx and i personally found pot much more than an appetite enhancemnt..  nowadays,most weed is not imported, but i would still be careful of source

I have nothing against pot; it is just not my drug of choice. Pot effects people different. It relaxes some people and some people it don
