I love the cat diary...we have a 30+(no fat though!)pound sybirian bombay hybrid who is spoiled rotten to the core. we love him though and he's just like our big furry baby:)
Got a dog myself..an obsessive/compulsive Border Collie (I think they're all that way). I read a line from your fellow Floridian Dave Barry about dog/cat people. Went something like this -
God has a dog, a Saint Bernard named Fred. You know that Satan has a cat named Princess.
He got a lot of hate mail from cat owners. Hope I don't for repeating it. I thought it was funny and especially cat owners would see the humor.
Hang in there.
hope you're doing well kiddo...these little critters help the humans get though a world filled with war, pestilence, ignorance and unkindness.... me thinks...they bring joy and compassion...but you know this with all your doggies...
i am so sympathetic to the tribulations of your pets...esp. now during a WAR
one of my favorites!!!...too bad my pitbull is mostly afraid of cats though lol...I live near the Hollywood Christmas parade, and so they park their horses out there, my pitty had to be almost dragged towards the horses, she was soooo afraid! but she finally warmed up to them...and they to her...it was so sweet to watch the horses smell her curiously and affectionately...
That was cute.
BUT, 3 dogs, 3 cats, all spoiled rotten, I leave all my doors, windows open, they never leave! Even the neighbors dogs come in. H*ll, their not in captivity......I am!!!! :}

I now have 2 inside/outside cats...still hoping to find a home for one of them...he is a rescue and he demanded to come in. My Max is not happy with this street cat (fighter) in the apt. I do worry 'cause the newbie goes right for Max's eyes... I also have my 17 y.o blind and almost deaf Shih Tzu...
even though at moments they can be an annoyance (txing wise)...they are great company...the best!
Anybody want a cat??
I also enjoyed the diary.
dperry, I'm glad you are just about through with this hep tx. I do hope you achieve SVR. You are an inspiration to me.
Sincerely,
y
That is SO funny! Sometimes it does seem my cats might be thinking that. Usually, though, I get the idea that they are doing me the favor of letting me feed them, live in their house, etc.. Gotta love 'em. S.
My Own, yah I thought it was cute. I used to have 3 siamese , 3 dobies and an African Grey. So I can relate to all 3.
Elaine. I hear ya, Mike doesn't like cats so I cannot have another.. But I liked the independence of them for sure. We went to the Bucs game today. I had no fever last nite.. actually stayed up till Midnite. And slept till 7 am today.. yippeee Yesterday, I decided not to deep fry the turkey.. I roasted it instead. Cuz I wanted to finish up a project I had been working on. In Sept we bought a new shower door for our room. But never got around to installing it cuz we had to special order the size.. So I finished remodeling the bathroom yesterday. A project we started a year ago.. we had done everything cept the shower. So after cleaning it up and caulking it.. Its finally done. When Mike took the old one down, it took down about 12 tiles with it. So on Friday, I spent the day, putting the tiles back up first. Then he did the doors on saturday, after the tile was set... you know they sent us the wrong instructions.. It was awful, but I finally looked it up on the Kohler website, and waalaaaaa.. Just like we knew what we were doing. It looks nice. So I guess you can say have had a bit more energy. But I still had to keep taking breaks. Today we had our picnic lunch in the car before going in the game, and all of a sudden I felt so sick. I thought we were going to have to go home. But eventually the pain passed, and we made a mad dash for the stadium. I still am getting dizzy, and of course still really pale, even after being in the sun all day. I think its time to do that final procrit shot that I have.. And I am completely done. Got some Riba left over.. but thats normal. Less than a bottle anyway.. I hope you and Nick had a blessed Thanksgiving. Ours was nice.. And tonite we get to eat leftovers. LOL Have to do the deep fry for Christmas, when I have more help here .. Oh.. we also put up the Christmas tree last night. Well Mike did and put the lights and balls on.. Now I have to put all the ornaments on and decorate the rest of the house. I put out the little critters and stuff around the living room. We have 2 other small trees in the Family room. Bucaneer Tree, and Penn State. Mike is a fanatic.

I love the independence as well, always had cats , growing up. My dog likes to eat fruit and vegs.. she says if you eat it I will.. But also like sweets she can get hold of. Saturday she ate a whole plate of " Magic Bars " , Mike left them on the coffee table, and she stole the whole plate and took it thru the doggie door. It was a wonder it didnt make her sick. We found the plate out by the pool.. LOL
Dorothy ~ Ahhh another animal lover who loves to rescue.... If I could adopt them all I would. I had to put down 2 - 15 year old dogs this year, and its the 12 year old daughter doberman , that I have left. and been looking at local shelters for a buddy for her. My profile, shows one that I am just tempted to go and get.. But she is small.. She is about 1.5 years old. She looks like a Gremlin. How could anyone resist that face ????
i live in a world of cats, dogs and horses. (along with my people family) all my animals are rescues...and everyone gets along. i love the diaries
I'm a cat person, always liked them. They are independent, so they are easier to keep. You can leave them for 3 days with food. The only indoor cat is lost when they go outside. The in/outside cats are the happiest but they get diseases and kill birds that we need in the environment. So I don't have any now. They will go blind if you try to make them vegetarians. You can make a dog a vegetarian.
Very cute! I like the cat diary.
