Drinking Water - Not So Safe for People’s Health, Research Finds...

You know, last year I chuckled when they found Prozac in the drinking
water in the UK.  Well, today I read this....

March 9th 2008
Have you ever wondered what is that you like so much about water? Personally, I don’t think there are so many of us who have wondered that or what other chemicals reside in our drinking water, and yet the taste is so good… An Associated Press team wanted to answer these questions for us when investigating the water supplies of at least 41 million Americans. The results were more than surprising and not in a good way....

lol xen,  that was cute.

The only way you can purify water is through reverse osmosis, they are saying filters do not even work.

We have that in our home kitchen sink,  the movie Erin Brokavitch is based on something that happened down the road of us!

Fresno, not tested, that is where all the veggies and fruits are grown!

I was told a long time ago that bottled water is not regulated like tap water and that it is safer to drink tap water.  (yuh right)  BUT...
I was also told that if you were to drink bottled water NOT to drink
spring water as it is only filtered one time.  Purified or Drinking water is filtered twice.  So I always buy Purified water.  (A Zepherhills delivery man told me this in our local grocery store)

Truthfully, I don't know who or what to believe anymore.
I think I'd rather have a little prozac in my water   :-))

Just read the article...YIKES!

It reminded me...immediately after my dad died in '96...hospice came and told me to gather up ALL medications, morphine and such...and in her presence...flush 'em all down the toilet....so without thinking...I have contributed to this.
My guess is this was standard procedure for hospice on Long Island...oy vey.

Man...i did not want to read that a portion of toilet water is recycled back to drinking water....*GAG*

The water in this municipality is horrible tasting and smells to me like pesticide. I use a water filter attached to the faucet.....neither my cats of dog drink unfiltered water. Last night...used up my last filter....AHHHHH! It's an Emergency!!! Gotta go to Store...dehydrating as I type..............

ps Have yet to read article...doesn't sound good.

From a biblical standpoint...this is par for the course.....and the bottom line is "SIN". Though many of us hate to hear that word.........I believe it.

yeah.. and for those maybe not reading through entire article.. there's no safety against pharmeuceticals in bottle water.... hmmmm...

"What is the worst is that not even users of bottled water and home filtration systems do necessarily avoid the exposure. And that happens because, according to the industry’s main trade group, bottlers do not typically treat or test for pharmaceuticals. The same goes for the makers of home filtration systems."
"...Researchers also discovered that adding chlorine, a common process in conventional drinking water treatment plants, make some pharmaceuticals more toxic."

In my opinion we are in the midst of the decline of the empire.
