Hiya! The answer to your question...Nope. Oxy is a pain med. It will remove pain that is causing anxiety, but it will not treat it directly...So what you really want is to treat the cause of the anxiety. If its a seratonin or dopamine level issue, take an SSRI or a DRI. Valium and ativan are an addictive bandaid to fix anxiety from brain chemical imbalances...If it comes from something from your life style, change it. If it is from poor sleep habits, or caffiene, etc. it can be fixed as well. Things like PTSD are a bit more difficult to take care of, but figuring how to make peace with past horrors goes a long way in lessening anxiety as well...Only you can find the answer to this one...Good luck friend...~MM

I do hope you know I care about you after all the time we spent together tx'ing and goofing here on the forum...so take this with the love that I am sending with the message..

All that stuff you do regarding good water, organic foods, tea, and stuff.... keep it up.

All that stuff you do regarding drinking, ...ect....limit that.

Hopefully that will equate to liver health.  That's the goal we all share.

SVR to us all......forever =)

Its like asking if it's a good idea to take red wine for a migraine rather than an aspirin.

it will put you on the dark side of the moon FAST - in just a few days you'll be living there and spending all of your money trying to figure out how to stay there.

Exercise and good clean living is da way to go.When i was alcohol and drug free for the last 5 years,i had a good time, even tho i was treating for a good part of this time.Im ok..like i said  no drinkn  or mary jane on weekdays, just maybe on the weekends ill have a couple of beers...i cant se nothn wrong with this.im not an alcoholic ..but a puff and few beers is actually theraputic..to me anywho..got to relieve stress sometimes, beats,i think its safer than anti depressants in my opinion.

Not a good long term solution, I think. Try meditation, maybe?

The thing about oxycodone is it might give you a "high" that will relieve the anxiety when you first take it....but real quick that will change into a HUGE anxiety wondering where you will get the next one.

I vote that ya stick with pot.

Dumb answer.... NO!    You'll be too zonked, but when it wears off, you'll be anxious all over again.    On top of that, since you'll be so zonked, you'll probably end up saying and doing dumb things, which will just add to your anxiety over 'how could I have said/done that?  Susan400

Rocker, I wasn't talking about sexual performance.  That's an expression I've heard used when people are talking about a drug that makes them drool and stumble around.
I've seen people on oxy's who didn't know what world they were in.  Scratching and rubbing their face, nodding out all over the place but then who knows how many they were taking.  It's a very powerful drug and addictive as h-ell.  They call it hillbilly heroin.

I don't think they will relieve anxiety.  I know you are a little reluctant to take Ativan again but that's the only thing I find helps anxiety, that or a little weed.
