Dumbest Alternative Tx Ever?

Over the years I've heard of all kinds of different stuff on the market to clear the HepC virus!  Most of it's just a crock and a way for some idiots to make money while taking advantage of sick ppl like us.  Some of the offers are for amino acids or other nutraceuticals which may make you feel better but will never take away HepC!.  The only true way to clear the HepC virus is SOC or triple therapy but some ppl don't know they're infected and other ppl who have read horror stories about interferon just want an easier way out.  Anyways, I thought it would be fun to talk about all the stupid ideas that ppl have come up with and have tried to sell to an unknowing public.  The last one I heard about was a huge casket like medical device called a hyperbaric oxygen chamber.  Although there are some medical uses approved by the fda for this medical device, HepC is a far cry from what this device can actually do.  Anyone heard of a strange HepC device or procedure lately?

I have to say, having done SOC twice to achieve SVR, and not being 'eligible' inbetween as a 'non-responder',  I looked into everything I could get my hands on;  including hiring an ozone machine off a man who had actually 'stabilised' his deterioration, was already on the TP list and was considered borderline untreatable.   It didn't work for me; in fact had very very negative results (partly because of the user .. me).   It bubbled when I turned it on and was like a Frankenstein machine; it terrified me and is very dangerous stuff if not handled correctly.

I also went to see an 'ex' Doctor (banned for prescribing homeopathy to his patients), who had a hyperbaric chamber.    He didn't offer me the chamber (I think he was a little scared by my dx, although I did the homeopathics), but when my son came down with hives after a course of antibiotics, and after various specialist visits and daily antihistamines for months, I eventually took him to this old man.   He did put my son in the chamber for an hour, with six weeks of homeopathics tx's afterwards.  The condition was cured - instantly... no more hives, ever, and this was after about 9 months of watching my boy suffer, and trying every medical avenue.  Hyperbaric chambers are used at Naval bases, and the medical profession use them for divers who have decompression illness from diving.  

The Govt allow this old doc to still practice under the name of 'biological medicine', mainly because 4 firemen were subjected to toxic chemicals at a big fire and the medical profession could only do so much to assist.  One of them went to this old ex-Doc, went in the chamber and it fixed him;  the other 3 did the same with the same result,  and it was widely publicized.

Personally, I believe in miracles.  We're all on a different path, and I think believing in something, and managing to have the confidence in it, goes a long way in determining the outcome.   Mainstream medicine is just the same gobblygook that has been statistically trialled under certain conditions.  I did SOC, twice, because that was the path I needed to choose.    

Did you see lately, that quantum physics have proven that watching the rats in experiments with them, actually affects the outcome?   The variables of doing anything are so great, but I think the determining factor is within ourselves.

Yep, a lot of these cures work on the "placebo effect". Just goes to show what a miracle the body is, the self-curative powers are amazing in some cases. And that good attitude goes a long way in healing any disease I guess.

They may but not over the hyperbaric oxygen chamber because it's only approved by the fda for certain uses and anyone can find out what the uses are by going to the fda website.  It's very effective for alot of different ailments but HepC isn't one of them.  After I wrote this I realized that Michael Jackson used to have one of these hyperbaric chambers, poor dude.  Maybe he should have used it more instead of using those strange drugs he was hooked on. I'm just sayin'!

How about this one, a medical doctor saying that Aloe Vera has placed his HepC in remission?!!!  I hope the public doesn't believe that krap!!  I wonder what state this doctor is licensed in, guess I'll be doing some homework to find out.  I don't know if anything can be done other than to talk about it, so I'm talking about it!

oh wow, this is interesting.  The aloe caps sell for $140 for a 3-month supply.  I have some aloe plant, I'll sell for $100 a leaf.  

If this wasn't so sad, it would be hysterical!

Yeah there's a bunch of nutraceuticals that are being made now and of course the manufacturers are lying up a storm on the capabilities of their certain remedy.  There should be an agency that protects consumers from sellers who sell dietary supplements that do absolutely nothing!!  Anyone know what agency will care about that doctor lying like a sob!!?
