According to the nurse I just talked to the official note hasn't gone out yet but

I wish It for everyone - everyone should get to know this feeling.

Thank you to those of you who supported me during treatment, extension and now afterwards.  You all know who you are and what you have done for me.

Congratulations on SVR !!!! I can feel your feelings and know where you're at... I may even be a little behind the realization aspects of this (I got the same news 4 days ago!) but will eventually catch up... I still can't believe it's true but I know that it is.

I hope you enjoy your freedom and enjoy your life more without the concern of that darn little virus disrupting life and making us feel like slaves. I also pray for all those who are on their way and I know if I have Stage 4 cirrohsis and cleared 1B that anyone can as it's never too late!

You're milking this SVR thing for all it's worth. LOL. Didn't anyone tell you that you're SVR if UND at six months post tx? What has it been now, two years :)

Anyway, a congratulations is always due for an UND, no matter how long after SVR.

For me, my last viral load test was at one-year post tx, and not sure if I will test again, not seeing any point.

The chances of a true positive are almost non-existent with a much greater chance of a false positive which would certainly not make my day :) Of course, if my enzymes ever turned South (or is it North) I'd probably re-think it. As to treating again with current drugs in a 1 in a million hypothetical scenario -- I'd have to be convinced it was life or death and then would want to think about it some more :)

Second post tx pcr @ six months false positive

it makes me really understand one of the reasons I am still here.  

All the bad news I got and all the times it seemed it wasn't working - but the guys in here just championed me onwards and told me not to give up (even when that false pos came back after treatment and I was SURE I had failed) when I really almost did and now - it's gone forever.

I'm so glad you guys didn't let me give up!

Now please..........somebody come up and take me out for a beer!  ;-O

(or a fudgicle ;) wouldn't have made it through treatment without them either!

Remember how when Eric was back and forth to NY?  Everytime he was there, there was a parade for something or other and we decided they were for him??

Well, in a few weeks, your parade is coming up....only to non-heppers it's called the Thanksgiving Parade....but we'll all know it's really for you!  LOL!!!

Even my mom was proud of me - like I had really accomplished something, she kept saying Deb in all that time I don't think you missed two days work as sick as you were (missed 3) and you never whined or complained one bit - you know I truly think that is part of the reason I succeeded.

You have to keep your head and make it work no matter what. I remember crying in here a few times thinking I just couldn't go on with my hemo at 9 and not even getting UND but everyone kept me on my feet and coming in to work and taking care of my kids.......

It was the people in here that taught me don't complain just do it.  

Mindset is a HUGE part of this disease. I've watched Susan treat ten times and NEVER complain.  Eric treat just as many times and succeed. DebC with 72 weeks of Infergen barely able to stand with such a low hemo.......truly the best way to get through its to tell youself, I can do it and therefore I will.

Then shut up, move on and get going.  THAT is the best life lesson I ever learned and I learned it in here, thanks to the people who had gone through it before me.

Thank you again for everyone who taught me that. You saved my life.
