Hello guys! Happy belated Easter! The earth isn't flat, and I haven't fallen off, but rather just stepped back a little to refocus and breathe and have been moving cautiously through unchartered territory since moving from Florida to Georgia after 20 something years to be closer to my family. I guess the reason that I did such a move was I thought that at the end of the day I won't be wishing that I spent more time at the "office" but as mentioned with my family. The move went well, and so far I've had few regrets.....( the year is still young however.....and I won't move or act preciptiously either in disclosure to family just yet as I'm holding my own and feeling well.)
I have a new HIV Dr that I really like as well as Hep C Dr there in Atlanta. I'm still UND in my HIV......taking every pill, every dose, everyday routine. My Hep C counts since failing TX back in '07 are as follows even though I'm still coinfected: ALT 37 AST 30, Bilirubin 1.2, VL < 2,000,000. So I guess in short I'm holding out pretty good ( and still hoping and praying for newer drugs to be coming soon.) Just fighting cholestrol numbers instead...........( all of those fried green tomatoes, chicken, and catfish.......Of course my HIV drugs aren't helping either......I'm 259 in my counts overall counts........not sure if that's really high or what.)
I did have one question that I wanted to ask about and it is about the supplement RESVERATROL in pill form of course. Can that supplement when taken correctly by label dosing cause liver damage? Spikes in ALT and AST and all related liver counts/numbers? I've read mixed reviews concerning this supplement, and am interested in adding it to current supplements, but don't really know enough about it or what direction I should approach with. Any thoughts? My current supplements that I take are: SAM-e, Milk Thistle, Multi-vitamin ( no iron ), 4800 mlgs of Fish Oil ( currently had desire to swim more), Niacin and Flaxseed Oil........My question is now about adding RESVERATROL. Isn't that like wine in pill form? Not sure......
I'd heard it's been used for fatty liver reduction and mainly for damage done from alcohol......what do you think about it in my particular case. I will be asking my Dr on my next visit.........Until then take care and stay well and blessed!
Sincerely His,
R
