Hi Kat, don't know if this will help but I saw a program on, I think, the science channel about a week ago concerning this very subject. Growing all your own "replacement" parts. They usually have several replays for weeks. It did mention recent "significant" progress. Wishing you all the best from another new friend!

Have you heard of a program called "the living doner program?" I dont know all the specifics but, if you have a friend or relative that has a liver that would be compatable with your system. An operation can be done where your liver is removed, a part of the doners liver is transplanted,if every thing goes well your section of liver and part of the liver thats left in the doner both grow to normal size within 3-4 months.. Now who pays for the surgery and all that i dont know. google living doner program. GOOD LUCK
