Geterdone Go’s Camping…
I hope there is room on the board for two adventures.
It has been a harrowing past couple of weeks with the heat wave and the sx of the tx and thought its time to take advantage of the cooler weather. So, getter got ta thinking, watch out! Here it comes… In da midst of the motivation and inspirations in the wee hours of the morning it comes to him, Camping! Yes, that’s it, I’ve tried to peal my face from this thing but my cheeks keep getting bused, I tried to mailing it away but it keeps coming back. So, getter gets ta thinking and says there is only one thing left to do… so, he packs up the truck gets ole duke in but forgets one thing, runs back in the house grabs his gitar as he makes his way to the truck, duke looks at him and starts howling as if he is in hot presuite of a fox. Getter says calm down boy there’s tents to put up and fires to build and then we’ll get to jamboree and da singing. As getter drives up the mountain this tune starts emerging from the fog, In Big Rock Candy Mountain.
One Friday evening as the sun went down
And the interferon fires were burning,
Down the track came a Riba hiking,
And he said, "Boys, I'm not turning
I'm headed for a land that's far away
Besides the interferon fountains
So come with me, we'll go and see
The Big Rock Candy Mountains
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
There's a land that's far away,
Where the Riba grows on bushes
And you can sleep almost every day.
Where the boxcars cells all are empty
And the sun shines every day
And the birds and the bees
And the riba trees
The interferon springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
All the riba has frustrating sx’es
And the syringes all have tiger teeth and
Really, really hurt your legs
The farmers' trees are full of fruit
And the brain is full of haze
Oh I'm bound to go
Where it always snows
Where the rain will fall and comes and go’s
and the wind will blow you too and foe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
You never change your socks
for the little holes keeps your mind wondering
And slightly off the tracks
The little streams of interferon
Begin trickling inside your leg
and all the muscles start tightening up
and your nerves never say hey!
for you can paddle it all around like a
big canoe right inside your leg
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
The brain is like a paper Mache,
you can walk right in and some times right back out again,
There ain't no short term side effects at least what they say,
But I’m here to say I pray each day to those happy days
Where we were conscience all day and not in a haze,
Where they hung the jerk
That invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.
Now can you imagine kicking back, a cup of joe and just letting the strings flow,
All aboard!

Camping sounds fantastic!!!!! Way to go, a reminder of life outside the tx fog..
I own a piece of land in St. Margaret's Village on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and would absolutely love to head up and camp for a few weeks, just never seem to have the time during the warmer months of the year. Your adventure reminds me, I need to make the time!!!!

You're inspired! That's too good and funny for just us heppers, in the 'Big Rock Candy Mountains'. BTW, where are those big Rock Candy Mountains? Sounds like you were 'getin' er done' when you was up there in the mountains. I look forward to your posts as you have fun with this terrible monkey we're all carrying around and you're at least getting out and having some fun! Seems too easy just to lay around and veg on the days that we don't need to work but admit there's great benefit in staying busy and not just moppin' around. I promised myself I would do more this time but find myself doing similar to before and just buying time until they say that you're okay now so you can start living again. I'm doing a little bit better and think much of it is the different meds as the Pegasys seems to be much easier to tolerate and I think it's doing a better job for me as well. Who knows but keep having fun and keep sharing as we need to diversion we get as we read about your adventures...
