Happy 4th of July!

For years --- in fact almost all of my life - this has always been one of my FAVORITE holidays.

One where memories are created - where families and friends meet and celebrate a day that the USA was declared INDEPENDENT.

It is a day that has changed world history--- sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse... But the day that brings families and friends together is a great reason.

Barbeques - fireworks and picnics - usually on a sunny beautiful day...

Poolside parties - people bringing out their acoustic guitars... at parks - in the backyard - at the beach...

Carnivals - parades - and just fun!

Painters painting ocean scenes --- children smiling as parents buy cheap sparklers --- frogs hopping and scratched knees on gravel.

Broken bones from playing badminton - full contact --- with laughing family and friends...

Every year is different --- but each time it brings memories for the future --- to grab on to --- to lock into place... The smells - the sights... the feelings.

And it's my favorite day.

I just wanted to chime in to wish all you wonderful Americans a Happy Independence Day!

I've never witnessed it, but am sure it must be a wonderful day with family, friends and fellow Americans!

Happy 4th to  you !   Hope you are doing well.   We are cooking some chicken right now, but family is coming tomorrow for hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill.   My dad had to work today..  So we had to put off till tomorrow.
