Health care and Finance reform

I promised myself that I would never start another political thread on the medhelp forum and this is not political, since it does not favor or criticize one party over another.

If you want to understand why we can't seem to fix health care and why we can't fix the securities industry, even after they almost brought the entire world down, see who the largest contributors are to any member of our government you choose.

I would like to see a list of who makes the contributions compared to how the politician votes.  Being from Chicago originally, I just assume that these guys have to get their money somewhere.  As long as the contribution doesn't affect a pol's behavior, I have no problem with it.  Though true campaign finance reform (including not allowing rich people to self-finance) would be ideal.  When will that happen?
