Hep C and pain meds

I am going to start the new treatment for HepC shortly, does anyone know if I can remain on my pain meds (Dilaudid & MSContin for chronic pain since 2000) while doing treatment? Any knowledge you have will be helpful to me. Oh and this is my first visit to this sight, hope to meet others with my same condition.

I just finished my meds Jan 24th and have been on morphine sulfate and oxycodone for 7 yrs. I have been undetected since week 4. I'm not sure about the Dilaudid but see no reason to go off the mscontin , But I am not a Dr. and not sure what meds you will be on. They told me no nsaids ,no Tylenol and no Prilosec. Please check with your Dr.. I wish you all the luck I can to reach svr.

My goodness but you are on some very heavy-duty pain medications! Please talk with your doctor about this combining with Hep-C treatment, although it likely won't be a problem. Sorry but I can't help but wonder what happened that you need so much for pain? Let me know if I'm out of place, I mean no harm.

Hi there and welcome ...Wish we could give you an answer but it depends on what your Dr has to say.  Sorry to sound so vague but we all have varying degrees of liver disease and take different meds.  It's honestly up to them.
Best to you
.....Kim
