Hep C ribbon, color ???

  Awhile back we were all discussing.....something :}......I'm sure probably Hep C awareness, etc.
I suggested (I think it was me, this is awful, LOL)....that we should come up with a 'ribbon' also, for hep C awarness. Forgot which thread, forget the replies, discussion.............BUT....... we really should!
My sister (fighting cancer) makes bracelets.....she wants to make me one and I said wait as I want to come up with Hep c awareness 'colors' ..or something. When I am asked about it, I'll tell about it. I wear the yellow bracelet for cancer, have the ribbons on my car for other things, etc.
  And if there is one already...... and I forgot that too :}....fill me in.

  What ya' think? Color(s?)  could be ? I'm thinking green as in Chinese medicine it is the color you focus on in healing the liver, stands for that, etc. Green for 'growth' as in rebuilding-repairing our livers and so on. Oh wait..........might remind me too much of frogs!  So just not a 'frog' green :}

Just googled in healing colors, auras, etc. Frog green is the color . We have so much to thank the lunatic for!

Think its a great idea if there isnt a color already.

Actually the ribbon out there for HCV is yellow and red...

I think I like green better than red and yellow though.

If it were up to me I would do colors of the rainbow...excellent healing mechanism. I love the color yellow but not for HCV for "OBVIOUS" reasons.

So good luck whatever you decide it will be for a good cause whatever the color is.

Actually my np offered me a hepc awareness wristband, but I forgot to take one when leaving....so I'd guess there is a standard color sceme...I'll check it out at my next appointment and report back...not sure when my next appointment is though (g)

My mother died from HEP C and the awereness ribbon is Red and yellow, red from the blood flow through the body and yellow for the jaundice that occurs

Here in Canada, at least amongst the people I know, the ribbon is red and yellow together.  My daughter, bless her heart, has worn the red and yellow ribbon with a Canadian flag pin at the crossover point on her jacket for awhile now.  She is rather passionate about it on her mom's behalf.

I took a different path....I have a little stuffed animal-type of toy that is actually a HepC virus model.  For the record, he's wearing a red and yellow ribbon.

I do believe the official hcv ribbon is yellow and red... and though it's not on the list above, the ribbon for liver cancer awareness actually IS green, so we've got that one covered too (that way LL's got her color too). ~eureka
