Hepatitis?

Hello. I had unprotected oral sex with a woman who is promiscuous in early October. I know she has genital herpes.

Since then I have had a number of troubling symptoms (urgency to urinate, burning at tip of penis, back pain) for which I have gone to the doctor. I was tested for basic STDs (chlamidya, Gon, HSV-2, HIV) and put on Cipro for a week. Those tests came back negative (although I know HSV-2 and HIV were early for testing). All of those symptoms went away.

In last week, I have developed new symptoms that make me fearful of having Hepatitis:

- I had itching on my forehead and left chest (used cream which helped).
- I have abdominal pain and general discomfort across my chest cavity. While the discomfort seems worse on left side I can't really tell where it stems from.
- I have a burning sensation in my left thigh. Almost like a pulled muscle.
- My left shoulder is painful (may be a sports injury but timing is telling).

I certainly have had a lot of anxiety over the last two months (am married). Based on all of this, do you think I have Hepatitis? I intend to get checked ASAP, but willl be difficult with holiday weekend and any insight prior to being able to see a doctor is greatly appreciated

wow!!! is this for real? if your forehead,shoulder,'left chest' and thigh got into the act,you were going great guns onthe oral,eh mark?....'.based on all of this'....i think you owe both ladys an apology and i don't think you have hepatitus (hepatitis),just a lack of restraint.....and maybe a case of undifferentiated urinary tract infection (and guilt..)

I understand the humor, but have been in a crisis the last couple of days over this. I came to this forum in hopes of getting some information. If anyone can educate me on whether the recent symptoms raise hepatitis concerns its appreciated.

Your liver is on your right side.  Your heart, however, is on your left.  I don't think you have Hepatitis.  I think you have stress.  Get tested anyway since you're engaging in high-risk sexual behaviour because what I or anyone thinks isn't a valid medical diagnosis. And if you're having unprotected sex with your wife as well as "promiscuous" women, I hope you tell her to get tested for various things also.  There are laws about such things.

I know this isn't funny...Just to let you know, it sounded like you had more than one thing going on...It does sound like you have/had a UTI (urinary tract infection) or something that was causing similar symptoms...The one sided itching may be an indicator of an onset of shingles...Sometimes people who are + with herpes get them...And they can be pretty horrible...The herpes virus follows nerve tracts and you break out into a VERY contagious rash sometimes (same virus that causes chicken pox)...If this happens, you need to cover it and don't let anyone touch you without gloved hands unless they've had chicken pox...sometimes it doesn't break out of the skin and causes persisting burning, itching and/or pain...Acyclovir (prescription) may help shorten the duration of the outbreak...Hope this helps...And, no, it is doubtful this is from Hep c...

I don't think your brains made it into the act at all.  A woman who you know is carrying STDs ... and you're just worried about Hep?

Are you trying to kill your wife?!  How do you know the woman didn't have a multitude of different things that could seriously harm you?

You better go to a doctor this minute and have every test you can and pray to God they are all negative not just the three you had - I think people who KNOWINGLY chance passing things like genital warts to their spouses should be inprisoned.  Seriously.

Beamish boy, humor aside, could be right about urinary Tract Infection if there is foul odor from urine.. The pain in back is one symptom of an enlarged prostate.
