Bobby is spot on; a 1-log drop in your case would be expressed numerically as 1,022,000; a 2-log drop numerically as 102,200.
The term ”Log” is actually short for “logarithm”. Any scientific calculator will have a log function available. Simply enter your numerical value and hit the “log” key to arrive at the logarithmic equivalent. You probably have a scientific calculator already installed on you PC; it’s just a matter of finding it :o).
Good luck on your upcoming viral assay, and let us know how you do.
Take care,
Bill
Thanks for answering so quick....................I always wondered
The way I understand it is you drop 2 Zero's. In other words 10,220,000 would be 102,200 for a 2 log drop.
