IamtheWalrus--HALFWAY DONE

Just an FYI for all you wonderful people...tomorrow Walrus takes his 36th shot..he'll be halfway thru this TX!! Wahoo!! we are celebrating on Sunday with half as much enthusiasm as we will on the 21st of November!! It hasn't been as bad, in many ways as we'd thought and worse in some, but most of all, he's been UND since week 12 and we're still married.....so that's something, right? We got each other, our kids and four beautiful grandbabies (all girls) and one grandson due in June. Even tho Walrus can't golf or even walk far without exhaustion, he's still working and being, well, himself. Our great kids deserve a lot of the credit. I am a pain to love with and they are the ones who keep his spirits up.
Hang in there babe---YOU CAN DO IT!
Liz

Thanks for the "thanks", hon. Mostly I feel like an invisible cheerleader in this big ol' mess. Sure isn't for the faint of heart. All you other "invisible cheerleaders" know of which I speak.
Brent, good to know you made it to NY yesterday, you just LOVE that race to the airport thing, don't you??
To all of you who support Brent in this battle..again and again, thank you. You are in my prayers morning and night.

Hey Guy!  Congrats on the half way mark. Let's hope for that good PCR!  Hi Liz, nice to meet you. Your hubby and I talk now and then, but it is wonderful you are posting. My husband posts for me once in awhile. It is a family affair, isn't it?  Wishing you both the best in the coming next half!

Hugs!
Linda

P.S. Slight correction: I have been UND since 24 weeks. I am a slow learner, I guess :)
I had another PCR today and will know the results later this week.

Liz, 4C, Mike, Elaine, Trish, LL, Deb, Charm and zazza:

Looks like I slept away all the fun! I've been running pillar-to-post, so to speak, and have been pretty comatose in between. I'm in NY on a sudden assignment for a few days on a troubled project.

I am trying to keep my eye on those who have treated for a long time or more than once, just to keep my hope alive.

Thanks so much for all of the support, and thanks especially to my wife. Colour me grateful! - note sp, Trish :)

I couldn't wait to post this message!!!! 242 days down, 242 to go. AND WE WILL DO IT!!
Walrus appreciates you all!!
Send the peeps! Send the accolades...Walrus has been a trouper! I am proud of him. It's been a kinda rough road for the last couple years. BUT it's made us really appreciate family and good friends (although I bet we would have even if he hadn't been sick!)
And thanks to all of you dear people--
Love to all-
Liz

Think we need to change the saying from 'halfway over the HILL" to halfway over Mt. Everest in a blizzard ?????  :)
