That's waaaay cool. Get the hat, shirt, lots of pics. But, I'm not sure they allow cameras on the property.
They only allow cameras on practice rounds, so I can bring mine. Looking forward to it!
Do you live in Ga? Or, boss paying for travel too? If digital, make sure you have lots of cards. Get the pics on 12.
Live in KC, they're covering the whole trip. Pretty good people to work for, 3rd generation owners and all 3 brothers are sharp as a tack.
I've got a 5MP Kodak with a 10x optical zoom that will have to get me by until I can go SLR. Post on 12? What's that mean?
Hole #12. Most picturesque.
What a great spring fling. My hubby would be so envious. Georgia should be beautiful now.
Remind me, Kim, what surgery? Is it heart? I read but don't retain, know what I mean? I will be thinking about you on the 16th. And you are txing thru this?
FL - you are a golfer? All my hubbys family golfs. His sister is probably the best of them. Dad is 86 and, if he has a good day, can still do 18 from the lady's tees. It is a good sport (if you walk - ha)

Yeah, a golfer who is 24 weeks removed from, and 24 weeks away from the pursuit. I think the family wishes I was already back on the course to give them a break from my insufferability for 5 hours a week. Speaking of seasons, your must be peaking about now. All that gray matter clicking along for you?
Have a great time Kim! I don't recall anything about your surgery but perhaps I missed it. I hope that goes well. Mike
Surgery will be removing tonsils, adenoids, and a Volvo-ectomy (or something like that) and the they move uphill where they fix a deviated septum and biopsy some suspicous nodes or nodules, (i.e. boogers) they saw in my nose.
6-10 painful recovery days they tell me. I am not getting enough oxygen and they worry I might have another heart attack if this is not done. They mentioned lack of oxygen to the brain but I told them I wasnt using it so not to worry.
Kim
Have a great time at the Masters. I love to watch golf on t.v.
My Dad was from Georgia. He was the second cousin of Bobby Jones and also a lawyer. But he didn't play golf. However, his grandson and great grandson are good golfers. The great grandson is learning it now. He's 9. He really sticks to it. My son is such a die hard golfer I have even seen him playing in the rain.
You have a really fantastic attitude Kim. It doesn't sound like a pleasant way to spend 6 to 10 days but I believe you will get through it just fine. I have a deviated septum from my bike wreck - I think that's where I got it - but no one's said anything about fixing it yet. That's something to look forward to, I guess. There's always something it seems. Have a wonderful time at The Masters and then later at The Hospital. Mike
Ouch...Sounds Painful Bless your heart! You really do have a GREAT Attitude!!!!
Hey....make sure you get some fudgecycles & popcycles to have on hand during the days after the surgery! I had my tonsils, & adnoids removed back when I was in first grade... I don't remember much about it but I sure remember the icecream...LoL
Oh, & my other daughter says it's already HOT in Ga, so be sure to take plenty of water with you to the golf course...(maybe freeze them first so they'll be nice & cool as they melt), your room will probably have the little combo fridge & freezer!
Sounds like a wonderful company you work for, That's awesome...I'm sure you'll have a Great Time!!!
;)
kim - oh, I am glad it isn't the ticker but the surgery sounds like an event. Funny funny on the not using the brain..... know what you mean
fl - I am using all the gray matter I can muster for another 2 weeks. That's it = then I am done being the walking robot!
bean counter frijole

I never got into the real tournament but have gone down for practice rounds before - missed last year due to treatment probably couldnt have made it from the parking lot through the gate during my 40th week. Really a beautiful site and lots of fun if you like golf or not. Toughest part is getting there and parking - there is one best way to get there and one parking lot that is more convenient than the others. I think we used to go by the course on I20 and then work our way back to Washington Road to park in Lot #1. Practice rounds you can park there without a pass. Come into the course at the lowest point, I think somewhere around the 16th hole. Have to walk all the way up to the clubhouse and stuff but on the way back its downhill. These are things I had to consider during the last few years when my liver started to act up.
I never had to navigate it myself as I always went with buddies who had tickets. At any rate, it is a lot of fun, I am feeling much better this year and although we don't have Masters tickets this year we are going down to Williamsburg for some golf after tax season. Cant wait for that. Have fun!
didn't know you were a golfer, I used to knock the ball around a bit, I'm not any good either...nothing more beautiful then to see a person with a good swing though, how lucky for you to get to go! Have fun! Maybe someday you'll see Flman, you Goof, etc etc in the same cart...the Bowery Boys on the links!
your dad must know my dad, he's 99 and I talked to him the other day, he was walking to the golf store (a couple of miles away) to get some new grips for his clubs...he can't play 18 anymore (although with my brother he still does) but he gets in 9 holes about 4 days a week, and puposely tries not to use a cart....pretty dang amazing huh? taking care of yourself pays off, along with a good gene makeup....
