things alway look the worst on tx SVR is the goal.
I had a similar situation. I left a position in MA and took on a major relocation to CA. I was six months post tx. I think a good thing to do would be to make a checklist of the pluses and minuses of your current job and your possible future job. Include emotional, monetary, medical coverage (when does it start, some jobs make you wait 3 months), vacation pay, 401(k) and their matching, etc. and any other things you think about. Just to put it on paper makes it more real and concrete. Be honest with yourself. Another huge consideration is any relocation package? My new employer paid for house moving and per diem, but alot of new employers don't do that anymore and moving is very expensive. You might want to make calculations of what that would cost.
Not trying to scare you, just trying to help.

Could you rent your house? thats what we're thinking of doing. I know getting the care you need for 7 more weeks, well you could finish it within the time before you move. I havent had health care for years.
I got into a hep c study and met the most incredible health care providers, I have this "thing" about lack of health care preventing us from doing so many things. Family can be important I now live with my mother ( up and down, but so is everything ), but I feel like I can be there for her and its turning out that she is there for me in so many ways.

Thanks for the post Mary. The pay may be a little less but primary draw is the benefit of being closer to family and I think I can effectively deal with the new job issues. Given it's size, Milwaukee ought to have several decent Hep C docs. My heaviest reservations are insurance coverage moving forward and the ability to sell my house. I anticipate the job offer could mean moving in August which isn't much time.
this sounds like a real dilemma, I dont envy you. Can you do some research while your in Houston as to who you would go to for the hep C, and selling your house well what are the odds of that?
How much time do you have to make the move?
I think you can deal with the learning curve of the job, the move across country might be a good time for you to reflect.
Does the new job pay better? what are the added benefits of the new job.?
remember there is no such thing as security, it only seems that way.
