Oh how I can relate, Nicky. I have fallen twice walking pre-dawn on pinecones (post tx). Once I sprained the top of my foot, and the other gashed my knee pretty good. I think it was a balance issue. I have walked predawn for about 20 years and never done that.
You know, Hepatitis Researcher always tells us to order our labs by the number. That is a good idea. LabCorp (which is the lab I use) has too many tests with similar names. QuantaSure is the one I always wanted (<2) but once they did a QuantaSure Plus or something which was not as sensitive. The Quanta Sure is only <40. You can go online and find out the number of the test you want. I got the wrong one a couple of times because I said the wrong name!

Thanks for your warm wishes. I'll post when I do get a result. I just cannot believe the syupidity of the lab - not being able to understand the word quantative means vl count and it also said HCV count how does that translate to an antibody test. That word was not even in the bloodwork order.
Kathy - I am for the most part up to speed with the energy thing. Although I do get my bad days still. we have had some fairly nice weather here until this last weekend. Yesterday and last night it snowed for the first time here Brrrrrr not much but still. I'll be glad to go back home for a short time, mom has said that the weather there has been pretty good in Sac.
Deb - Thanks I will be totally enjoying turkey day no matter the results but an UND would make it especially enjoyable. I hope your foot is getting better how long do they expect you to have the extra weight on there? Are you managing the stairs any better? I couldn't even imagine trying to deal with that.
Although 2 months ago I had my own lil mishap -- I went to get out of the computer chair to run to the oven and fell flat on my face (not really sure how) and put my front top teeth right thru my lower lip it cut all the way thru. sure looked funny for about a week. rug rash from the top of my nose to my chin. asked my mom if she remembered that her daughter was a clutz...
Take care all
Hey - I am just an email away. I may not post routinely but my relapse leaves me still in the game for a long while.. Sometimes tho, life gives you a little kick and then hep C takes the back seat. But I look at my little Hep C stuffed buddy every day and am reminded.
It is only in the 50s today but back to the 70s tomorrow!

I almost didn't see your post and get to say hello!!!!!!!!!
I'm so aggravated at this PCR situation and it's not even me! URGH!!!!! Well just think of it this way...when it comes back UND it will be Thanksgiving and you will have SO MUCH to be thankful for you can have an extra helping of stuffing, mashed potatoes and then pie with ice cream to celebrate!!! :)
You KNOW we are all here rooting for you. Please = don't forget to tell us when you get the good news!

Friole - I'm going to come and smack you hard in the head...how DARE you rub in to us that you have gorgeous warm summer weather while some of us are in the birthing pangs of WINTER!!!!! BLAH! Oh how I HATE the cold! When the wind chill gets to be like thirty degrees below zero.....I'm going to be thinking of you probably sitting in your nice 60 degree sunshine! ;)
Just kidding cause I wanted to say hello I never see you anymore *sniff sniff* (wipes tear).
Hey, girl, what a dud that hospital is. Doesn't that just kill ya? Doing the wrong test! Well, I will just keep crossing my fingers on this latest test. Are you up to speed at work - anemia going away?
MY last VL test (about a month ago) was about 800,000 IU'mL. ALT and AST were just fine -- in the 20s. I am going to talk to a doctor on Wednesday about bumping my biopsy up to December. I was supposed to have one in May '08, but my deductible will be met this year, so I want to step it up.
Has the winter chill set in yet? Here in W Texas we are having a pretty warm November -- it got up to 90 yesterday but a cold front hits today. Still haven't had to put my plants in.

I'm sorry you did not respond as quickly to TX. Keep thinking positive though. Your shot is not for naught. Even if it is still there the IFN does keep the virus from progressing and damaging the liver more. When will you get the results back? heres wishing you and UND result.
Take care, nicki
ohhh wow I wish I could go but I live in Pennsylvania now. I haven't been home in almost 6 years, I will be there 11 days over thanksgiving week, but \vacations like that are rare for me. It will be nice for you guys. If I still lived in Sac I would be there in a heartbeat. Maybe next time I get to go home it can be around a time you all plan one again. This board has been my only support while I was on treatment and I really don't know what I would have done without you all. everyone here helped me get thru all the rough times of treatment.
I'm so glad you finished TX. How are you doing since you stopped? Do you have any residual sides? I still have trouble with energy. My legs get tired just as easily as they did on TX just not as often.
Hope your test comes out great.
Nicki
wishing you the best, nice to see you here!
Nice to hear from you. So sorry to hear the lab messed up your test. I finished tx 7 weeks ago, so far so good. I will get my 3 mos. test just before Xmas.
We are planning a luncheon for bay area and Sacramento Valley and foothill people on the forum on Jan. at the Nut Tree in Vacaville. I hope you can come. We would love you to join us.
I'm having company at Thanksgiving. I just helped my son clean his condo and I'm pooped. I had a trunk load of stuff to drop off at the Salvation Army. It was a labor of love. Happy Thanksgiving.
I have just had the same thing happen. I had not reached UND at 18 weeks and I am now at 24 weeks, After waiting for a week the lab test came back POS. without any numerical value. Soooo now I sit and wait again. So taking my meds and shot could be for naught. AHHHHHH!
I'm betting you are SVR, PL.

Thanks Elaine and Ladybug,
LOL Lady yes I did get 1 result from that lab report "It showed that I have the HCV antibody"
"NO S*** Sherlock" I cracked up with that one, I will always show that. I think I will be clear too But ya still worry about it no matter what. And I will be asking my doc here for the labs to be printed out so I can see them for myself. Lab manager also said that it should take only 10 days so maybe it will be back before I leave for my holiday.
How frustrating! Did you get any lab report at all? It seems like even if they performed the wrong test you'd have heard something....
You were clear at 6 weeks, I'm sure you're still virus free! I called my dr's office nearly everyday after my 6 month pcr. I also requested a copy of the lab so I could see it in writing. Have a full of thanks holiday this year, sure you will be getting the good news soon.
