Ladies...this may be the oddest question ever????

OK....
I'm a 59 yr old woman, just finished week 25 of tx and have suffered most of the terrible side-effects of these chemicals.  I'm hanging in pretty well these days, and I must be feeling a little better because I have a HUGE vanity issue....lol  My friggin' eyebrows are growing straight up!  I am totally amazed that my pretty, thin, eyebrows now have these hard, stiff BLACK hairs which pop out from my brow and point to the top of my head!  I've tried mascara, trimming, hair spray and vaseline to make them lay properly and nothing works.  If someone has a suggestion, I'd sure appreciate any and all advice!  And, if anyone can tell me that my eyebrows will get back to normal after tx, I'd be willing to KISS YOU**

Welcome to my world! I have the longest eyelashes without mascara and there are pointing down , straight down. I  look like a Llama and they stick me in the eyes and it hurts. Tx has been really awful for me so its good to laugh about something silly for a change. Im with you this tx and the sx are cruel.

I would tweeze them as much as you can for now. If it doesnt work Im positive it will go away after tx. Perhaps some kind of wax to let them relax.

Dont feel bad you should see my hair sort of like Zeppo Marx! I look beautiful!!
I promise it will go away after tx!!!

ahhhh!   better zeppo than groucho :)      

I think some of the outward sides are the worse, thin hair, grey stripes!    Try waxing them AFTER trimming them close, do not over pluck!

There is a lot of riba rage in the air today,don't want you to go pluck crazy then end up with NO eyebrows!

I guess we need to be glad we dont have eyelashes that are straight down and stabbling us in the eyes plus eyebrows that are standing straight up! Thank goodness we dont have both!

Deb is right about the RIba Rage you know it can be disasterous so be kind to those brows!!

We dont need looking like a hairless chiuaua's better off somewhat hairy!

LOL!!! Yes, did get those LONG eyebrow hairs, plucked them. Hair on arms grew too! My eyelashes are great tho!
Very odd, how we loose head hair and grow other hair ??? Not fair!
Why can't it be we get lots of healthy head hair and loose some of that other hair we DON'T want :) ???

OK...you guys are really getting me excited about starting tx next week...funny my eyelashes have gotten much longer in the last year and my hair has gotten real thin and my eye brows are different...There are just so many things that are like being on tx - flu like, sleep issues, loss of taste. Gee maybe when I start I'll go back to normal :-)
We think the biogenetic that I'm on for the RA (enbrel) may have triggered some of this...will be interesting to see what happens with all three.

I have lost 60 pounds and all my boobies, in fact, I can fold the boobies these days!  ROFLMAO.........
And the nails........they have NEVER grown this fast, seems like every day I have to file them down.  I must still scratch in my sleep because I find bloody spots on my pajama tops every morning.  
I try really hard to keep laughing at all this stuff.........I don't want to double my Paxil!!

I have short torso too. All legs I can be an octopus!! I cannot go to the movie no room for my legs....and long arms like a chimp!! Which is my 2nd favorite animal!!

I have short legs, long torso.  Together they add up to just over 5'4" but sometimes I claim 5'5"!!!

Ladies;  I had no idea that you get a bigger cup size on tx and after. I am still so much bigger!  I used to be able to buy bras from Nordstrom/Macy's now I dunno. I may have to go to that Carol Doda shop in the city!  I am a size 2 on the bottom, very strange. It's been a year!  Still have those sticking up eyebrows too. Thought that unibrow would go away. lol  Now that my hair is growing back on my head, I noticed today some light colored 1/2 hair on the sides of my face!!!! AHHHHHH!  I do have one inch hair growing like bangs and all over, does nothing for the hair do.  Hey, we have to laugh, otherwise we would cry, huh?

BTW  I have lonnnnng legs! I am 5'4" and mom always told me how tall I was. I sure believed her!  Still do.  It is amazing how perceptions of oneself persist.  I have long legs, end of story! LOL

Deb - My sis is your height...she was always mad at me for passing her up when we were kids. I was 5'6 but lost almost an inch so far with neck fusion and compression fracture. Give me a few years - I'll be right there with you the way the RA and Ostio are eating at me.

Gee I can't wait to see what happens to me - eye lashes are already real long..I may have to start trimming them if they grow. I already have rashes - so that will be a thrill. I have had my nails done for years - pretty long for the horses - they love to be scratched with them...they are so cute they make camel lips and close their eyes and moan. My nails are normally so thin...may have to let them go uncoated and see what happens.

With my luck I'll lose all my already thin hair and get a beard and my eye brows will get so long that I will have to braid them...you guys getting a good visual here?

Well we aren't far apart I will come and we can be grumpy old ladies together, bat stupid people with our canes! lol So if we shrink, i got your back or should i say cane?

I wil probably get stuck with an ortho shoe too!  Have not been stretching or getting any exercise,  I will be the hunch back of Ca!

My Mom had osteo so bad, when I was young she was like 5'1' by the time she passed she came to my chest!  I always worry I will shrink like that!   I have such a small frame,

Ok you are not going to braid your eyebrows :))!   Go get waxed!    Hair we have your friends website!    Eyelashes curl them!    

We will get you through this my friend,  one way or another,    either make you laugh, come annoy you, annoy you so much you blow up, then laugh at you for doing it! But at least the cork will pop for a bit!

That reminds me of my old pain med Mr. Bubbles "Cooks brut Champaign" Boy did that help the RA. I never took a single pain med - just a glass of bubbles after work (as I celebrated my day. A tradition I started after one of my death experiences). Then a glass of chardonnay with dinner. When that stopped  8 months ago I really felt the difference. I have had to start taking pain meds every day - ugh. Gee another great reason to SVR...I'm really scrapping the bottom of the justifiable barrel. But that's ok - anything to make me feel good about starting this journey is my friend. Not that big boobs and long lashes aren't enough to send me leaping and dancing buttttt.....

You need to remember not everyone reacts the same way to txt.  You know pain, so you may find it not bad at all!
