Man, these HCV meds can really turn you into a hag if you let them.

So far, LacHydrin has miraculously saved the horrible dryness and texture changes in my skin. My scalp and hair are ok under the circumstances. Not that this is even as big of a deal as it once was since I haven't gotten into to really doing my makeup or hair in months.

My cuticles are ok thanks to jojoba oil but my fingernails chip and flat out break like crazy. The are moderate in length, kind of curl under a little and the color is good but they are brittle and dry. I don't use nail polish and I buff them once in awhile for a light sheen, but that's it.

What to do? I have redhead skin and not the best looking hands to begin with. I'd like to not have them all super short to nonexistent but I don't see how to avoid this.

My nails are the total opposite. I'm in week 21 and my nails have never been this strong and long.  Almost as long as my eyebrows.

I used to use a product called Rejuv-A-Coat.  It's a clear polish you use once a day and then take off weekly.  Works really well.  Maybe that will help.

Ug....that hag thing is so true.  The skin on my face is so dull and dry I am looking forward to some kind of fancy spa treatment type thng when this is all done.
