My Good News story

       My son loves kids often volunteering his time as a coach.
     A few years ago he met a lovely young lady finishing up her PHD. They fall in love and get married.
  She is smart and ambitious. I come to realize how important her career is to her and accept that they may never have children.

       Two nights ago my son phones.

       I'm tired and he says," we're going to have a puppy."

And like a ditz, I say," how do you know it'll be just one?" thinking it odd that he's glad his dog is knocked up and knowing that dogs have litters, not one puppy.

   Then he says," well it won't be for 9 months." Silly me! I finally realize he's telling me that his wife is pregnant.

    This is good news and my pointing in writing is, sad as we are to lose those we love, we are then presented with the wonderful news of delightful sweet babies bringing smiles to the planet.

It is so great to be a grandmother!  At times I have thought if I could have skipped the kids part and went straight to the grandma part it would have been perfect.  Congrats on your news!

     Molly, their dog, is spayed. I asked if they were going to name the baby Fido or Bowser. My son quipped” Molly junior.”

Congrats, Grandma!!-:)))  When is the blessed event to be?   It's a blast having grandbabies - if you get to see them very often.  Better than your own.  You get to spoil them rotten and then send them home. HeeeeHeeeeee.

SOOOOOOOOOOOo happy for you. I can't think of anything better than having a new life in the family. I like Daisy for a girl, and Butch or Spike for a boy. This baby will have to learn to roll over, sit and fetch! What wonderful happy news....
