New treatment coming soon!!!!

My liver doctor told me today that with Ribavarin and Interferon the cure rate is 40%.But I guess that by august of 2011 they are coming out with Telapavir I think thats the spelling for it.but anyway you are to take it with the riba and interferon.It is a pill.But it i.s supposed to bring the cure rate to 70 % !so that is great news.Anyway I thought I would share that

We all hope that this is true however we've been hearing it for years and it is always pushed back - the last word we had that he might not have heard yet is end of year 2011 at earliest as it has not even been submitted yet and will take at least six months after that if it is approved.  Magnum has very good connections within the company that he has made over the years and this is the information they told him.  You might look on the other side and find his latest thread if you are interested in letting your doctor know what we've heard just so it doesn't influence any of his decisions incorrectly.

Fortunately with your liver damage you have time to wait and see what happens but for someone with vast liver damage they might need to consider treating now and saving telapravir as a back up in case they need it.
