The best thing about chocolate is how easy it is on the liver. Goes in as chocolate on one end - comes out the the other untransformed - no work for the liver to process.....

But, do you really consider Cocopure (a drink) a supplement??  My idea of a supplement is like to take the Mega-Tea capsules that are sold in the supermarket as a weight loss gimmick, is that what you're referring to?

Rocker,

I don't do the raw chocolate but I've been doing the Cocopure, which is pure cocoa that is also along with a concentrated amount of Green Tea and it contains Resveratol in it, too.  You can't really taste the Green Tea in it though, even though there's more Green Tea in it than the pure cocoa.  It tastes just like hot chocolate to me.  But, it has no dairy and no sugar in it.  It's sweetened with the Stevia.  I only do one glass a day and that's more than enough for me.  I do it in the morning with my coffee and it helps get me to concentrate a bit better.  I can't handle drinking anything caffeinated after noon time though, or I can't sleep at night.  I have my decaf green tea (not the cocopure), in the afternoon.  I sure hope that the green tea thing is actually beneficial, or I am barking up the wrong tree!

No he doesn't worry me. Quite a lot of research has been made that chocolate is healthy and they keep on stressing that the darker the chocolate the better.

It can't get darker than the beans. The nibs are just the crushed beans and nothing else. I like eating the whole beans, too. They are even more delicious than the nibs, as they have more flavor, not having been crushed. Yummmmmmmmy.

i have this raw vegan friend. He makes the craziest food and serves whole cocoa beans as snacks when he invites people over for dinner.

LOL    ::::::------))))))))))

So am I, I have been eating all kind of A, BGA and Ch. I am especially fond of Japanese Cuisine and love all the different kinds of algae. And when I see sushi, my vegetarianism goes out the window. Haven't touched one piece of raw fish, since I was diagnosed though. Actually, am going to celebrate an eventual SVR with No.1 French oysters in Paris!

By the way, a nice thing to do is to throw some choco nibs in your tea or coffee cup. They get really delicious, once you finish your tea you can scoop them out with your spoon and eat them. Vive le chocolat!!!!

heres a site that blasts raw cocao....

http://www.living-foods.com/articles/cacao.html

Chocolate and cacao are outright health hazards due to the chemicals, contaminants, and additives they contain. The chemicals within chocolate are called methylxanthines. They can be further classified as theobromine, caffeine, and theophylline, all of which have deleterious effects on the body. Theobromine is known to cause a host of symptoms including abnormal glandular growth, nervousness, depression, anxiety, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, and itching. Caffeine is highly suspected of being a carcinogen, and is directly linked to heart and circulatory problems, glandular difficulties, nervous disorders, osteoporosis, birthing abnormalities, and so forth. Theophylline causes stomach problems, nausea, vomiting, and nervous disorders.

Thank you!!!

Since I am too 'knackered' (I love that British expression) to make my own, I ordered some good raw choco bars from the UK. (Denmark is terribly slow on natural stuff) And I'm munching on some right now. Just what I needed, some food of the Gods and Godesses, IT IS!!! DEFO....
