Remember This?

Some worried as much about this at the time as bird flu and the plague and thought the world was going down.  It just goes to show that we have to maintain some semblance of normalcy when things come up - don't need to stockpile rations every time a new strain of something comes out or alarm ourselves into a frenzy.

I'm only posting it up so that next time we can refer back and stop some of the panic that went on at the time.

I got both vaccines this year.  I got more sick from the regular flu shot than I did from the swine flu shot, go figure!  I had a fever and muscle aches for 2-3 days after regular flu shot, not one single symptom from the swine flu shot. Hmmmm       I also didn't get the flu either.

I wanted to BEAT anyone in the media who kept whipping up the Swine flu subject. The hysteria was unbelievable with people calling 911 just because they thought they'd been exposed to the swine flu and weren't even ill. I saw more people get sick from the vaccination than I did from the bug itself...But that doesn't make a very good story, does it? ~MM

Even the poor doctors are brainwashed into belieiving they have to prescribe the vaccine by the the big drug companies, some just dont know any different.

"...think of all the newspapers sold..."

...and right now influenza and epidemic disease don't even rate a drop-down subheading under Health on MSNBC. Unlike the important topics such as 'Pet Health' and 'Skin and Beauty'.

I'll happily go get vaccinated for anything offered, as long as I can keep producing the antibodies.

Yup I agree 100%.  Not just for the pharm companies though think of all the newspapers sold and all the doctor visits taken and all the other things that people went out and did/got thinking it would help protect them.

Not that it wasn't a legitimate concern but they made it sound like we were all going to die any minute! I won't worry until they invent a dog flu and then it will only be because I'm worried about my puppy!

It was all a scam, just watch, next winter they will say again its time to get vaccinated for the swine flu again and a lot will .Now they have billions of dollars of excess flu shots that were never used and have to be throw out, maybe inthe food chain and water supply.
