Stage of liver damage-SVR

Does the stage of liver damage attribute to getting SVR ? If you have low liver damage does that give you a better chance verses a higher one or not? Or is it mostly based on VL ? in getting SVR.

I would think not because people that have no damage and have HCV stll are able to achieve viral response.

Thanks for the reply & the hope.
I always wondered about the extent of  liver damage and aquiring Svr.
I will  post when I take my first shot-
I believe I learned enough for now to get me thru to tx.

But it's still worth it! I'm stage 4 of 4 and grade 2 of 4 and while I don't know completely what that means i assume I have the big 'C' but I will not give up as i believe I can beat it and there is evidence that even cirrohsis can be reversed (to a degree) and will allow me to live a normal live just no alcohol of course. It's always worth treating as I didn't know that 10 years ago... 'keeping the hope'
