Stem Cells From Skin

ScienceDaily (July 29, 2009) — A research team comprised of faculty at Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center (LSBC) and investigators at CellThera, a private company also located at the LSBC, has discovered a novel way to turn on stem cell genes in human fibroblasts (skin cells) without the risks associated with inserting extra genes or using viruses.

We release stem cells everyday naturally, even if we dont use the newer more potent ways like reinjecting them, just eating normal foods cause stem cells to be released into the blood stream....not as much tho...like i said before...the safest way is to injest potent green foods such as algae

yep we have stem cells that divide in the dermis papillae, probably not as pluripotent like embryonic stem cells.  the article about generating liver tissue is definitely  news.  i only recall learning of generating abnormal beta pancreatic cells from liver stem cells from lecture last semester.  amazing how fast science moves.

I always found the whole stem cell debate ridiculous and filled with misinformation and fearmongering. Their has never been a shortage of stem cells for research. Ever.
